Vanhalen Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Was just reading this website http://www.anysoldier.com/index.cfm and what a great idea, maybe we can do something constructive instead of pissing and moainging, whatever side or beliefs we have
Guest Cerebus Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Well, on a personal note my brother-in-law (a Marine stationed near Tikrit) told me in his last email he has more crap than he knows what do with and actually told me and my wife not to send him any more stuff. He did, however, suggest Spirit of America for anyone who proports to care about the Iraqi people, left or right.
2GOLD Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Actually, the military is now requesting you do not send things to just "Any soldier". They want you to send to a specific soldier and immediately family only since they cannot handle the load of mail to "any soldier". It's a damn shame but there is nothing the military can do. You CAN however work with your local Red Cross to send packages to soldiers. But the military cannot handle it anymore.
Guest INXS Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I wonder if there is a scheme where I can donate packages to the poor people or Iraq...

The Czech Republic Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Well, I mean, come on! It's INXS. You can bifurcate, equivocate, even appeal to authority. A false dilemma, faulty cause, or inconsistency. Straw man, slippery slope, red herring...it's all in play.
