Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 29, 2004 He wrestled as Nick Sinn (his real name? I have no idea) and jobbed to the newly bald Val Venis. Since I started this, is there any chance of TNA bringing Slash and (random Indy wrestler name here) as the New Church again? I always thought it was a good team, and Slash was improving quite a lot from earlier in his career. They still have Mitchell around still, so it's not a completely lost cause of original members. Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 If so, it needs to either be Slash/Tempest (AKA Devon Storm) or Slash/Killdozer again, because Slash/Synn just DID NOT flow at all...namely because Synn sucked and Slash ruled, and Synn didn't even suck in the Killdozer way of "sucks, but can be carried in tag matches." Plus, Killdozer also brought a certain feeling to the matches of unpredictable brawling, which certainly worked to the New Church's advantage.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Thanks for reminding me about Lee. That got me wondering why did he leave in the first place? Seemed like he was doing pretty good in terms of being pushed (1 of only 3 real teams that TNA cared about protecting) and was actually a lot better than he was as Chainz in the WWF. Guest bort Report post Posted November 29, 2004 They were gonna reprise the team awhile ago with Slash and a Flordia guy...trying to remeber who...Madison, Steele...one of the old IPW guys

Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Thanks for reminding me about Lee. That got me wondering why did he leave in the first place? He apparently showed up late to a couple shows and probably didn't react too well when he was admonished. TNA, seeing that they had Synn on the sidelines, kicked him to the curb
Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 He also wrestles here in Memphis as Nichloas Doom. Same gimmick, different name. He's a tweener right now.

TNA, seeing that they had Synn on the sidelines, kicked him to the curb And thus TNA killed the heat of The New Church, because Synn is too bland of a worker, and at least Killdozer (I don't think I'm ever calling him "Brian Lee" again, because the name of KILLDOZER is just too fucking cool) and Slash were compatible. thuganomics 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 His name is Sinn with an "i", as Synn is Jim Cornette's girlfriend and a manager in OVW. Sinn, aka Nick Cvjetkovich, aka Fatty, is actually a close friend to Edge and Christian, so his getting some WWE tryout matches isn't overly surprising.
