NFL Week 13

I've come to the conclusion Green Bay probably won't win another championship for another 20-something years. Noone in the NFC is going to beat Philly this year, that much is clear right now. With Favre retiring soon, and so many of the quality Packers coming to the end of their contract, it's going to be a while for a 13th championship in Titletown.

Again, I'm not trying to say NO SIR THEY CAN NEVER BEAT THE STEELERS because quite frankly, any team can beat any other team on any day.

However, with both teams at full strength, every indicator is that the Eagles can't handle the Steelers running game, and their passing game will be stunted by the Steelers' blitz (which it did pretty nicely in the first game) when the Eagles can't run the ball against their stout front seven.

Not only that, but they keep on calling pass plays.

And Detmer has played well in place of McNabb, so it's not like Reid has to fear the backup throwing the game away.

I hope Manning and McNabb both get severely injured running up the scores one of these weeks.

I don't care about them running the score up, it's just dumb to risk injury to major guys in garbage time.

It's completely classless. There's a point when the game is won and you're an ass if you're still lobbing passes into the endzone just because.

That's what I agree with. They cannot afford McNabb, Westbrook, or Owens getting hurt in garbage time.

I mean I got Manning beat this week in my fantasy game :)

I mean, the object of the game is to score. What else are they supposed to do with their time? Stand around quoting Major League? Of course they should keep scoring.

Perhaps letting backups get playing time or running the ball to eat the clock would be a more prudent decision than desperately trying to score to protect their 41 point lead.

Not even Doug Pederson could throw a 41-point deficit away at the beginning of the 4th. Come on, seriously.

Hell now I want them to take out the stars, just so Collinsworth will shut the fuck up about it.

Well, if your Bears weren't so pathetically awful, they'd be doing it.

Are you sure about that?
