Video gaming history questions

Recommended Posts

Guest Mr.Negativity

I'm in the contest, and I need these questions entered to win a free game, help would be appreciated, thanks.

Which was the first system to make use of CD-rom to store game data?

My guess is the Sega CD.

True or False, the original Sony Playstation was the first video game system to make use of a memory card?

True?

Thanks in advance!

I believe the answer to the 2nd question is false- It was the Saturn.

The first question, I don't know. Didn't Turbo-Grafx have a CD add-on?

Regardless, you should be able to find all this by Googling.

Thanks for anwering. I checked Google and found nothing. So I had no luck there.

Edit: I found something saying that the Neo Geo was the first to use memory cards. Hope that's right, thanks you were right about the Turbo Grafx.

Actually, I think one of the Atari systems had a memory card (or cartridge, in that case) to save high scores. I want to say it was the 7200, but don't quote me on that.

Well thanks everyone. The memory card one was true or false so luckily I didn't need a specific system, but I chose false since most of you pointed to something else. After Matt Young left the Turbo Grafx suggestion, I googled it, and some sources confirmed it was the first home console system to use cd-roms.
