Guest jm29195 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 I've just read about a match on 411:- Raven and Richards then took part in an Ultimate Jeopardy match. This was basically Wargames, but there where best 2 out of 3 matches to determine who would be first in prior to the match, and then there were stipulations depending on who lost the match. The teams were Raven, Stevie Richards, The Eliminators and the Heavenly Bodies vs. Tommy Dreamer, The Pitbulls, and The Public Enemy. Raven won his match against Dreamer, and this, coupled with the Eliminators beating the Pitbulls earlier in the show meant that his team would be first in. As for the stipulations depending on who lost the match, there were: If Public Enemy lost then they had to face each other later in the night, if The Pitbulls lost then they had to split up as a team and whoever pinned them got Francine for a week, if Tommy Dreamer lost then his head got shaved, if Raven lost, then whoever pinned him gets Beulah for a week, if the Eliminators lost, they had to leave ECW and Jason (their manager) got shaved, if Stevie Richards lost, then the winning team got 5 minutes in the cage with him and finally if the Heavenly Bodies lost, then all of the stipulations for their team - (Raven, Richards, Eliminators) were enforced. Firstly, what show was it on, was it any good, and has it ever been commercially released? I've got all of the ecw dvds and videos released in the UK bar Hardcore Heaven 95 but I can't remember if I've seen it before?
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 This took place at the December 1995 ECW Arena show. The match was apparently only ok, but the event itself was never commercially released. I think that was because the card as a whole was only considered ok, and not release worthy.
Guest jm29195 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Ok cheers, I've got Holiday Hell 95 and House Party 96 so it must have been between those, btw are the Konnan against Sandman and Sabu against Richards matches any good?
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Konnan against Sandman at HP '96 is ok, if basic. It's pretty much just cane shots and some brawling, but it isn't bad by any means.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 Wasn't there an Ultimate Jeopardy '96 that had that match? I remember they had a similar match in that 1995 house show, with Cactus/Sandman/Raven/Richards/Scorpio vs. Dreamer/Pit Bulls/Public Enemy. No stipulations, just your standard war games, except no cage, and every entrant determined by a coin flip (so it could conceivably be 5 on 1).
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 Ultimate Jeopardy '96 was the name given to the main event of the October 5th 1996 Arena show, which saw Tommy Dreamer and Sandman take on Stevie Richards and Brian Lee. It was so called, because each man had stipulations he would have to adhere to if he lost; If Dreamer lost, Beulah was gone from ECW, if Sandman lost he would take 10 lashes from the cane, if Stevie lost Raven would lose the ECW Title, and if Lee lost he would have to shave his head. Richards took the place of Raven, who entered rehab that afternoon.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2004 Ok. The first post sounds essentially correct, except the teams would equal six on five. There's something there that's not clicking.
JHawk 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2004 Ok. The first post sounds essentially correct, except the teams would equal six on five. There's something there that's not clicking. Sadly, I think that's right, as I do remember seeing the result in PWI and thinking it wasn't right back then. ::shrugs::
