Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 If it's multiplatform, why did you only list PS2 titles? I want Ultra Bust A Move and Knights of the Old Republic for Xbox.
ragingfear79 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 that was my bad, but the deal if its still alive in your area will work for the 19.99 games and only those, if you try to get two of the ones that are 14.99 this will not work.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 OK, so is it just PS2 games or are Xbox and/or GameCube games included? And how do we find out if stores in our area have the deal? I just don't want to be carrying 20 games and $100 up to the register and then get charged full price.
ragingfear79 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 actually is for xbox and cube too, i just forgot to add the list for those. unfortunatelly the only way to find out if its dead or not is going to the register and checking there. Good Luck
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Thanks... I figured it'd be the same at every store, but I've been asking questions because in order to get to Circuit City, I have to have someone give me a ride and I don't want to do all that for nothing. EDIT: Do you have the lists for GC and Xbox games?
ragingfear79 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 is cool man, hopefully some of you people will get some of the games for that price.

ragingfear79 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 quick update, got word from a few friends that if you guys go try and not go to the line where a manager is (they have the black shirts) because some of them know about the mistake and will not honour it. Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Lots of guys on Anandtech are saying the deal is dead. I hope that's not true...
ragingfear79 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Yeah i read that too, but thats why i said about the managers, hopefully you can get on it, dude is worth at least checking it out.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Definitely. I'm still waiting for a ride, though. I'm going to feel really dumb if I bring 10 games up expecting them to be $50 and they ring up as $150. I'll have to say I don't have the money...

Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 I went there and got 4 games so I could try the deal out and not look to suspicious. those all rang up for $5 each, so I was happy. I had other stuff to do so I took care of that and decided to come back a little later, which turned out to be 2 hours. I had a stack of 10 more games and I got rung up. Uh oh. They had caught on. I spoke to the manager, and after raising a ruckus I was able to get 4 more games for another $20. Apparently, I was to be the last one. They said that Final Fantasy X-2, basically any other RPGs I had grabbed, and Sonic Mega Collection Plus were NOT part of the deal. Crap. All in all though, I did ok. I found a game I had been looking everywhere for (Ultra Bust-A-Move) and got 6 games for the PlayStation 2 that I won't even get for another week. Here's my bounty: PS2: 007:Everything Or Nothing Grand Theft Auto III Grand Theft Auto Vice City Tekken 4 Tony Hawk's Underground WWE Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain Xbox: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (I have the movies now so I'll be able to understand it) Ultra Bust-A-Move (nearly impossible to find... but SO worth it, even w/o having Live) That's the list. Thanks so much for posting this deal.

Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (I have the movies now so I'll be able to understand it) This game's storylines do not follow the movies. You still got a good game, either way.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Check out this thread from FW. A guy went to buy some of these games at his local CC, and it turned...ugly. I WISH I was in this guys position. http://www.fatwallet.com/t/24/410173/
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 After reading that, all I have to say is... holy fucking shit!
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 16, 2004 That is absolutely ridiculous. As a former assistant manager at Blockbuster, I know for a fact I would not give a shit at all and I would take the responsibility for not informing my CSRs if they rang the shit up incorrectly. What fault is it of the customer's? Blockbuster had specifically told us to not even bother chasing a customer or touching them at all in the case of loss prevention. I passed this on to the people who worked below me, rationalizing, "Hey, it's not your money that you're losing, but it'll be your job if you try, so don't bother." It worked pretty well. I wonder if CC says something similar to their employees.
