Guest zapjaste Report post Posted December 16, 2004 In the latest Torch newsletter, which was posted online, one of the writers talked about the potential situation about Brock Lesnar returning to WWE and all the factors that would be involved. There was a mention in a Minnesota-area newspaper last week that Brock is "ready to come back", which more than likely means a return to WWE. Seeing how there are some rumblings about Brock returning to WWE, and seeing how Sable is Brock's girlfriend, there is at least a SMALL, GLIMMER OF HOPE that Sable could be back in WWE. Brock hated being on the road, and if Sable is around to comfort him, she would make him happy by just being around and make being on the road more bearable for him. I can't blame him, SABLE MAKES PEOPLE HAPPY. That what Sable does. She seems like a fun woman to be around and her mere presence made Smackdown a fun show when she was on. Anywho he is the part that relates to Sable from the article. The Travel Situation: Another reason for Brock Lesnar's departure this spring was World Wrestling Entertainment's road schedule. Brock claimed to be worn down by the time he spent on the road. He wasn't living near his ex-girlfriend and his daughter, either, so he was spending even more time on the road than the other wrestlers. Lesnar is probably ready to handle the WWE house show schedule now that he has enjoyed nine months off. The schedule isn't as grueling as it was before, since WWE isn't running as many house shows. WWE is also getting better about rotating their house show lineups and letting their wrestlers have weekends off from the road. The downside is, unlike last year, girlfriend Rena "Sable" Mero isn't going to make the trips with Lesnar. Sable's release from World Wrestling Entertainment earlier this year coincided with Brock Lesnar's departure. WWE certainly could rehire Sable if they wanted to, in order to make Lesnar happy. Based on recent WWE history, it doesn't look like this will happen. Surprisingly enough, the problem isn't with Sable's past. The issues leading to her lawsuit against WWE were all smoothed over last year when the promotion rehired her. Rena Mero may not have been the most popular woman in the locker room in her second tour of duty with WWE, but she certainly left the company on better terms than she did the first time. The problem is that WWE is moving away from women like Rena Mero. Sable is an attractive woman in her forties. The rest of America is enjoying the antics of sultry, mature women on the television show "Desperate Housewives", but Vince McMahon isn't interested. If we learned nothing else from WWE's Diva Search, we learned how anxious Vince McMahon is to bring a bunch of twentysomething potential centerfolds into his locker room. There's no room for Terri Runnells or Jacqueline Moore in the current WWE product, and there's no room for Rena Mero, either. Hopefully Lesnar has matured enough to deal with the frustrations of life on the road. The problem this time around in regards to Sable making a return to WWE seems to not be all the bad blood that had to be shed like last time, but her age. That's really the only thing holding her back. Sable is in her late 30's and sometimes looks like she's in her 40's seeing how many people think she looks like she's at least 40. She's 37 to be exact. She's an older woman and WWE seems to want to go for younger women that have some potential in them I guess and have are not "used goods" I guess you could say. Yeah, Sable maybe older, but is that so wrong? She still looks great if you ask me. I'd much rather see her than all the dime-a-dozen woman that have been brought iin lately. She may not be in her 20's like all the other woman, but just because she's over 35 shouldn't be so horrible and automatically disqualify her from being rehired. I think she's beautiful and she's also a known entity that some fans care about. There's so many of those random 20-something ladies that bringing back Sable might actually be a breath of fresh air actually. Some people like the older, more mature, MILF ladies, and Sable is like the queen of MILFs. And judging by the success of "Desperate Housewives", people like older woman and there's still room for them. It simply BEWILDERS me that Sable, quite the possibly the greatest diva ever in history, doesn't automatically get a job whereas all these nameless random women do. For Sable's sake, it's probably good that they're having all this T & A on the shows and bringing in all these woman because Sable is the master at the game of T & A. She achieved the most success out anyone ever from it. And she would make Brock Lesnar happy, which is incredibly important as Brock would still be the biggest star in WWE if he were to return today, sans The Rock. Unfortunately, all these woman being brought in are in their mid-20's and Sable is in her late-30's and that's where the problem lies. I think this is a bit comparable to the current situation in regards to the size of the cruiserweights. WWE isn't too interested now in wrestlers who are small and can work good unlike the bigger, muscly wrestlers, and pretty much just ignore the small guys. In Sable's case, because she's older, WWE probably doesn't want her even though she still looks good and has more fans than any of these random woman who'll probably gone within 6 months. I think their is a small chance of Sable returning to WWE, but in the end, I don't think it will happen even if it would make sense to bring her. D-Von is considered the biggest preacher(hence the short lived singles gimmick) and he goes around powerbombing females into tables and in ECW challenged the females to suck his dick quite frequently. The characters they play are CHARACTERS. some like Shawn will refuse to go certain lengths but Sable like Eddy and D-Von realize they are playing tv characters. Judging her television character from the real Rena isn't fair. As for her stint as a Strip Club dancer, that doesn't mean you are a std'd to the gills sex freak. Most college girls strip dance as a means to make a living to pay their college tuition. I'm pretty sure she took a look in the proverbial mirror and was willing to do this as a means to make it through college. I doubt she's concerned and nor should she be about how some kid on the internet percieves her to be a slut because she jumped around a pole in a thong. A lot of strippers aren't whores... I still have 1 question... how did Vince McMahon suddenly forgive Sable and hire her back? She sued him for millions (and lost), and was pretty much completely against the T&A aspect of her character. He also was high on the Nostalgia craze with Hogan; I guess he wanted one of the biggest female diva's to return to accomodate the Nostalgia era. McMahon also loves giving second and sometimes third chances; it's possible he was willing to be nice. The 'net doesn't give him enough credit for how good of a guy he is. If it weren't for him; I honestly Believe smark darlings Eddy Guerrero and Steven Regal would be DEAD. So in all likihood; he was giving her a second chance and it's a ego thing for him to say "this person came crawling back to me" and if he can make money off it as well; just as good. I have no answer for being put over Steph, but she became Vince's bitch after Brock walked and that was Vince's ego saying "ha ha, motherfucker!" Also, didn't matter if Hogan was jobbed out because he made Vince a shit load of money in merchandise sales alone. I just wish I cared to remember how much it was for (I'm not good with remembering exact numbers for this stuff). I want to see McMahon bring Warrior back, just to see him lose his mind... The point i was making; he gives EVERYONE chances. Hogan almost sent him to prison...He got a CO-Main event for 2 WMs and another Title reign and a upper card program for almost two whole years (yes; there was a 7 month break thankfully, which hogan was well known and talented at utilizing to appear fresh). He gave a job to his long time enemy Eric Bischoff and save for a couple humilating moments, he has basically been treated well. Vince is famous for giving anyone a second or third chance, just because Vince got slapped with a lawsuit doesn't mean he was going to hold a grudge.
