MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 BAHHAHA.. Giants are winning, as Eli looked like his brother on that drive.
mike546 Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 He was a fucking beast his rookie year. I remember when Brian Dawkins talked shit about him, and then he shut him the fuck up the next week by jumping over him for a TD catch. That horse's ass started it in 2002 by talking shit about the Eagles' secondary being overrated, like he's one to talk about anyone being overrated. The thing is, THEY beat the Eagles the week after he said that, and Shockey had like two TD catches.
strummer Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Steelers come right back down and are about to take the lead right back, no blame on Eli for this loss, all on the defense, they have been HORRIBLE
Damaramu Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Eli is doing better with the dumbed down offense....doesn't mean I have to like him. I don't think this is a case of the Steelers being overrated though. I think it's a case of them coming off of a hard game against the Jets and looking ahead to face the Ravens. They probably thought they were going to roll in this game.
KingPK Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 More specifically, the secondary. They're letting Ward and Randle El run free for 20-30 yard completions.
The Man in Blak Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Yeah, the Steelers have looked flat today - they look like they weren't prepared for this game at all. That, and Roethlisberger seems to be struggling with his touch on the ball with those gloves on, which might lead to some bad news in the playoffs.
therealworldschampion Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 The thing is, THEY beat the Eagles the week after he said that, and Shockey had like two TD catches. Shockey said that before the game in Philly(the one the Eagles won), and I think he had one TD catch in that game up at the Meadowlands. If you're talking about Dawkins, then maybe its the game up at Giants Stadium. Doesn't change the fact that Shockey is grossly overrated due to the NY media.
mike546 Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Hes not overrated. Hes just not being used to his full potential. Seriously, the run we had near the end of 02 to get into the playoffs was incredible. Shockey was just owning linebackers, running over CBS, and just kicking ass.
therealworldschampion Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 That shot of Ricky Williams meditating in the 60 Minutes spot just screams "unintentional comedy."
KingPK Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 TD Tiki, Giants with the lead again. Gotta hand it to Eli; he didn't get discouraged from last week's disaster and has brought it to the Steelers. Two point failed, Giants 30-26.
Cartman Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 TD Giants!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! (and I despise the giants...)
Guest Vitamin X Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Man, Eli is playing like his brother in the second half. I like watching Big Ben play like a rookie. I think both of these guys are going to be great. But Eli's play in this game right now is far more impressive, aseverytime you see Ben pass he has noone within 5 yards of him, but Eli is constantly get blitzed and pressured by Blitzburgh.
2GOLD Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Why the HELL did the Giants go for two???? What purpose would THAT have served?!?! Stupid, stupid, STUPID.
mike546 Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 This is awesome. We win this game, screw the playoofs, I can't wait to hear the Eli bashers explain this game.
strummer Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 I think they went for 2 so 2 field goals wouldn't beat them
2GOLD Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 I still think he'll end up being a bust. But people who use the first season as a judge need their heads examined.
2GOLD Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 I think they went for 2 so 2 field goals wouldn't beat them Instead of realizing the Steelers aren't going to settle for two field goals and now if they score a touchdown, you can only tie with a field goal instead of winning. It was a stupid move.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Well, the Giants have to ruin my plans..
mike546 Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 The bias these refs have aren't even funny. How was that NOT a push off?
2GOLD Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 The Giants have NO SECONDARY whatsoever. New York just needs to blitz cause they can't play coverage defense.
KingPK Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Giants will have their secondary and their secondary alone to blame if they lose this.
2GOLD Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Giants will have their secondary and their secondary alone to blame if they lose this. If they end up losing in overtime, they can blame Coughlin for that STUPID two point attempt.
mike546 Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Even if we score here, were going to lose. OUR D CAN STOP ANYONE.
Guest Vitamin X Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Hey look, they're showing clips from the last Vikings-Giants game in the Meadowlands in that CapitalOne commercial.[/badjoke]
strummer Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Giants making Randall-El look like Jerry Rice in his prime. Again, no blame on Eli for this lose
KingPK Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Can't really argue with the refs there. The feet just got tangled up.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 If he's looking for the ball and the feet get tangled up its ok...just ignore the 2-3 push offs that took place before that.
