Yeah Pittsburgh just put it in the bag. Running down to the two-minute warning and New York has no timeouts left.

There still should have been Pass Int on that last INT. You can't push off like 2 or 3 times there. Would it have made a difference? Maybe. Either way the Steelers got their Christmas present early.

MAYBE?

They would have been at the Pittsburgh 20.

I still say maybe because its not a sure thing they score. They would have been in good shape to do so. Still, somebody could have fumbled, a real INT could have taken place, FG could have been muffed, etc.

For Steelers fans, every single team that has won 12 in a row in a season, has gone on to win the Superbowl

And they are entrusting a rookie QB to basically win them 17 straight games to win the Super Bowl..since they can't lose again in the regular season to keep Home Field and I Wouldn't like their chances playing in NE in the AFC Championship game if they do lose*.

*Thats if they even make it to the AFC Championship game..

IF Big Ben wins 17 straight games they should just send him to the hall of fame now.

No other Rookie QB will ever win 17 straight games and lead their team to a Super Bowl victory.

yeah, I know, I just thought I would mention that little fact, the announcers harped on it throughout the game. It will be a longshot for sure for the Steelers. I'd like to see the Giants just win one more game, let alone 17 in a row.

Note to the haters: Steelers *always* play down to sucky opponents. Don't read too much into this game. Special teams alone kept the Giants in this one, and nonetheless, they pulled it out. You're grasping for straws if you think this is the BEGINNING OF THE END for the Steelers.

Ironic that the last time Pittsburgh had a seemingly great team with a tough defense, the special teams did them in... And if it's against New England AGAIN in the AFC Championship game, that'll be something.

Pittsburgh, from what I've seen hasn't done too well on special teams, though of course you'd know better than I would. What's your thoughts?

Ugh. ESPN Saturday/Sunday night crew comparing Michael Vick to Barry Sanders.

Give it an hour, they'll be calling him the second coming of Jesus and wearing pigs blood to worship him.

ESPN just LOVES Michael Vick.

Pittsburgh's special teams coverage this year has actually been quite good. It's a big improvement over last year since they have several guys who have become sort of Special Teams Specialists. The problem the past couple weeks has been that those guys, most notably James Harrison, have had to come off of the special teams to step in as starters. The obvious solution would be to leave them on special teams as well since that's where they're at their best, but they dont seem to want to do that. They should be fine as more guys come back from injuries.

Damn. I want Carolina to come back and make this competitive. Vick just threw a freakin' rocket for a TD.

How can you not like the Panthers this year?

Every game that the Panthers have played for the past month and a half have been essentially playoff games. They've won all of them and are taking it to the Falcons on the road. They could have given up on the season plenty of times. They've got a special teams player starting at running back and having 100 yard games. If they make the playoffs then John Fox is my coach of the year.

Holy shit, the Panthers are fuckin bringing it to the Falcons.

If there is a god, the Panthers will win this game. They've forced two turnovers with the Falcons in scoring range in the past five minutes, one turnover was returned for a score which tied the game. What players will be coming back from injuries by the time the playoffs start? I can't see them keeping this high level of play up forever because just watching them is making me exhausted.
