Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Well the first official non-tendering just occured. Detroit says so long to 3B Eric Munson. He was suppose to be a stud prospect but could never hit for average and strikes out alot. He does hit for good power though. 39 homers over the past couple seasons and he's been a part time player. EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Munson is roughly the equivilent of Jim Presley, and a slightly better version of Drew Henson. He's an acceptable backup. The Royals non-tendered P Miguel Ascencio.
geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Reds non tendered John Riedling. In what could be the sign of a major trade, they offered D'Angelo Jimenez arbitration. This is significant because Freel was slated to play second, with Kearns learning third base. This means the Reds are not confident Kearns will learn third, meaning he, Dunn or Pena could be dealt. Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Jimenez can play SS too though. I doubt they trade either Kearns, Dunn, or Pena. Maybe they end up trading Jimenez or Freel in the end.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Telemaco and Geary come as a surprise. Suddenly the Phillies need a back end of a bullpen again. Of course, a handful of these players will sign back with their old teams.
DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 I'm not shocked that the Mets got rid of Strickland and Moreno. They've both been injured quite a bit.
