natey2k4 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2004 TNA IMPACT December 10th Edition Opening Match *The Naturals d. Elix Skipper & Pat Kenney via pinfall @ 4:21, after the Naturals hit their finisher The Natural Disaster on Skipper. Pat Kenney never showed up for the match. ** (Analysis: Skipper fought hard but couldn’t overcome the odds of facing the former tag team champions in a handicap match.) **Mike Tenay and Don West go through clips from four of the matches from Turning Point. They show DDP beating Raven with the Diamond Cutter. They show Monty Brown slamming Abyss’ head into thumbtacks. Petey Williams using the brass knuckles to beat Sabin. And finally they show the clip of Skipper nearly killing himself, as well as AMW getting the win... and the fans giving a standing ovation to all four men. ---Commercial--- **We return from commercial break and we see Skipper walking backstage… extremely gassed. Suddenly as the camera walks with him… Pat Kenney is seen laying on the ground in a bloody mess, with a lead pipe on the ground beside him. Skipper calls for a medic. Tenay groans over the unfortunate event. X-Division Title Match *Petey Williams w/ Team Canada d. Shark Boy via pinfall @ 2:35, after the Canadian Destroyer… Destroyed Sharky. * (Analysis: Shark Boy was almost no match for Petey, who seemed to handle this match pretty much from start to finish. Sharky made a comeback near the end but it was cut short when Williams hit the Destroyer out of nowhere.) **We get another clip of Turning Point, as we see AJ Styles & Jeff Hardy fighting for their lives in a handicap situation against the Kings of Wrestling. Styles looks like a human doll, being torn apart by the competition. Suddenly Savage makes his return and pins the World Champion, Jeff Jarrett with a roll-up. ---Commercial--- **Jarrett makes his way out to the ring with a microphone in one hand and the world title draped over his shoulder. Jarrett gets in the ring looking around at the Florida fans. He smirks, before telling Florida how much he hates each and every one of them. Jarrett says Turning Point was a fluke, because they we not expecting to be attacked from behind. But he expected that from a man like Savage… a lying, cheating, pathetic, pile of crap.. that Randy Savage is. Ha-Ha, but he who laughs last… laughs loudest. View the TNAtron, Slapnuts. The TNAtron kicks in, and shows Kevin Nash alongside Scott Hall. Scott Hall has a beer in one hand and baseball bat in the other. Nash has no weapon. Nash says he agrees. Hall stops Nash… Hey Yo.. Its Survey Time!!.. Who NEVER wants to see The Macho Man again.. Hahaha The camera pans down and shows… RANDY SAVAGE laying on his stomach, leg stuck under a car, and blood beside his head. The scene fades away, with Jarrett applauding his boys work. Jarrett tells us all again that he who laughs last.. laughs loudest. AJ STYLES HITS THE RING AND LEVELS DOUBLE J WITH A CLOTHESLINE!! MY GOD STYLES IS HERE! STYLES CLOTHESLINE JARRETT OUT OF THE RING! Jarrett backs up the ramp with his glasses no on sideways and without the microphone. His title is in the ring and Styles picks it up. The fans erupt as Styles holds the championship in the air and then throws it at Jarrett. ---Commercial--- Tag Team Match *Chris Harris, James Storm, Mikey Batts, Hector Garza & Jeff Hardy d. Michael Shane, Kazarian, Kid Kash, Dallas & Ruffy Silverstein via pinfall @ 5:37, after Hardy hit Dallas with a Swanton Bomb. After the match Silverstein stuck out his hand to congratulate Jeff Hardy. Hardy resented at first, but finally took the hand only to be nearly decapitated by the young Canadian. Garza, Batts, Storm, and Harris ran back to the ring to get Silverstein by he was quickly backed by his Team Canada members… wielding hockey sticks. Garza pulled Hardy out and they backed up the ramp. ** (Analysis: Simple spotfest that got the crowd hot. They crowd loved most of the pople involved, and TNA seems to be giving Silverstein a little spotlight.. At least Ruffy has done something notable now.) **AJ Styles is backstage with Shane Douglas. Styles say That was just the beginning.. and that after what they did to Randy Savage, a former great, that he… AJ Styles deserves the chance to redeem Savage. I WANT YOU AT FINAL RESOLUTION JARRETT… AND I WANT YOUR CHAMPIONSHIP! ---Commercial--- Main Event *Raven & Abyss d. Diamond Dallas Page & Monty Brown, via pinfall @ 7:49, after a Raven Effect on DDP. DDP was distracted Watts allowing Raven and Abyss to double team Brown and knock him from the ring. Abyss went to grab DDP but DDP nailed a Diamond Cutter only to stand up and turn into a Raven Effect. (Analysis: Decent match here. Raven and Abyss had some surprising chemistry together. Brown looked good in there with a veteran partner in Page. Back and Forth action with a pinfall finish that doesn’t hurt DDP, but also helps out Raven and Abyss.) **3/4 **Dusty Rhodes comes out on stage and DEMANDS that Watts return from the back. Watts comes back out and Dusty looks at him. NEXT WEEK WATTS… ITS GOING TO BE YOU VERSUS DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE.. IN 6 SIDES OF STEEL… THERES NO RUNNING THIS TIME WATTS! Page stands up in the ring with a smile across his face as Watts looks astonished as Impact fades off the air.
natey2k4 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2004 TNA New & Notes December 11th, 2004. *Randy Savage left the company directly after Turning Point, following a meeting. Savage learnt that he wasn't in TNA's plans to become Champion. Savage grew angry and walked out on the company again. *This brings up the question... Wasn't Savage On Impact Last Night? No. TNA didn't want to leave a storyline up in the air, and quickly decided upon removing Savage from TNA programing forever with their skit involving Hall and Nash. Savage was played by fellow TNA wrestler, Johnny Swinger. Hence why Savage was planted face down, Swingers hair somewhat matched that of Savage's so they thought with a quick glimpse of a beatup, bloody body.. fans wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Reportedly, Swinger was garunteed another Championship run of some sort with the company for doing that. *TNA had their biggest gate to date. Fans overfilled the crowd. It was almost too bunched, as a few security guards let a few people slip in after the arena was full. TNA may need to move their location shortly, or continue to disappoint fans by turning them away at the door. *TNA, The Music Volume 1, is schedule to hit shelves on December 21, 2004. This gives a few days to pick it up for that special someone for Christmas. *Pat Kenney is expected to be off TNA Programming until Final Resolution, at the earliest. He suffered a "kayfabe injury" last night on the show. The reasons of the injury are unknown at this time. *Eric Watts is likely to gain an announcers spot for Xplosion, alongside Shane Douglas. Meaning, after his feud with Diamond Dallas Page ends, Watts most likely will be off TNA Programming for some time. *Impact scored a very sharp rating for Impact last night at 1.1. That is one of their highest ratings to date.
