LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2004 I can play a file no problem in VLC, but when I try to play it in Windows Media Player, it won't work and says there's an error downloading codecs. I need to use some of these files in Windows Movie Maker, but Windows Movie Maker doesn't accept the files that can only be played in VLC and not in Windows Media Player. How can I make it so that Windows Movie Maker will also accept VLC files...actually, I guess the better question would be how can I change it so that these files that will at this point only play in VLC also play in Windows Media Player? All of the files I have this problem with are really tiny, too - none more than 1,000 KB and most much less. Thanks very much in advance to whoever helps. BTW, I have the KLite Codec Pack and that doesn't seem to change anything.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2004 You're probably watching an OGM movie. Windows Movie Maker is very picky about the kinds of video it'll accept and that pretty much excludes the codecs used in downloadable video.

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2004 No. Use VirtualDubMod.
