Guest TheLastBoyscout Report post Posted January 1, 2005 I wanted to do a diary because I don't think anyone books the way I would. My style is a bit more epic and bombastic than most diaries, and I was curious as to what the rest of you guys thought of it. JANUARY 4th RAW IS WAR: World Heavyweight Champion: VACANT Intercontinental Champion: SHELTON BENJAMIN Tag Team Champions: EUGENE and WILLIAM REGAL Women's Champion: LITA Matches currently set for NEW YEAR'S REVOLUTION: 1. ELIMINATION CHAMBER for the WHC: HHH Y2J Orton Batista Benoit Edge Special Referee: Shawn Michaels 2. Women's Championship: Lita vs. Trish Stratus 3. Kane vs. Gene Snitsky RAW IS WAR 1/4/05: Cold Opening: EVOLUTION arrives in a limosuine, and is told by EDGE that Eric Bischoff has an announcement for all the wrestlers to be involved in the Elimination Chamber on Sunday. HHH smiles, and the group enter the building. SEGMENT 1: Eric Bischoff comes down to the ring and calls out the principles in the Elimination Chamber. It's worth noting that HHH and Batista enter seperately. He announces a special double main event tonight: EDGE and BATISTA vs. CHRIS JERICHO and CHRIS BENOIT and HHH vs. RANDY ORTON HHH is livid, but before he can protest a pier six brawl breaks out. The heels gain an advantage, but SHAWN MICHAELS runs in and turns the tide towards the faces. When suddenly KANE makes a dramatic return and clears the ring of EVERYONE. Benoit? Chokeslammed to a pop Flair? HHH? Edge? Gone. Gone. Gone. Pop. MEGA Pop. Pop. The rest of the babyfaces are destroyed, and Kane gets on the mic. He screams for Gene Snitsky, but LITA enters first. She tells KANE taht for the safety of everyone in the back she's been forced to sign him into protective custody until the NEW YEAR'S REVOLUTION. Police arrive and chain his hands (in front of his hands), until out of nowhere GENE SNITSKY comes out from the crowd and attacks KANE with a chair, splitting him open. KANE sits right back up, and cops and suits come out by the dozen to seperate them. SNITSKY makes his escape, but KANE goes crazy and chokeslams EVERYONE again until the police dogpile him and RAW is FORCED to take a commercial break. -COMMERCIAL BREAK- SEGMENT 2: SINGLES MATCH: WILLIAM REGAL vs. SIMON DEAN Regal defeats Dean via submission when he hooks in a Regal Stretch. SEGMENT 3: CHRIS JERICHO and CHRIS BENOIT are backstage. They're talking about what happened with Kane earlier tonight and how they pity Snitsky when Kane finally gets his hands on him. They walk into their lockerrooms to find EDGE there. He asks which one of them put a note into his gym bag. It says to meet at their dressing room at 9:35, benoit and Jericho check their gym bags and find that they have similar notes. Suddenly HHH enters, he tells them that instead of going through with their match they should... he looks at the cameras in front of him and tells them to adjourn to a nearby room away from the cameras. -COMMERCIAL BREAK- SEGMENT 4: SIMON DEAN is interviewed! He wants revenge! He'll take away William Regal and Eugene's tag titles at NYR! All he needs is a partner... Enter MUHAMMED HASSAN. He explains that there would be no better way for him to earn respect for his Arab-American brothers than to win a title in his debut match. NEW MATCH added to NEW YEAR'S REVOLUTION: Simon Dean and Muhammed Hassan vs. William Regal and Eugene for the World Tag Team Titles SEGMENT 5: SINGLES MATCH MAVEN vs. SHELTON BENJAMIN Maven ducks out of the ring A LOT; breaking Shelton's momentum multiple times. Shelton gets frustrated and follows him out. THE MATCH LASTS LONG ENOUGH FOR A -COMMERCIAL BREAK- HALFWAY THROUGH. He lays a beating on Maven, but Maven dropkicks him over the announcer's table. He beats the ten count back in, but is still woozy. Maven hits him with a reverse DDT and pins him. ERIC BISCHOFF enters and says that that was the most cowardly performance he's ever seen. At NYR Maven will get an IC title shot, but it will be FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE to ensure that that doesn't happen again. NEXT: The Double Main event begins! SEGMENT 6: TAG MATCH EDGE and BATISTA vs. JERICHO and BENOIT BUT WAIT... Batista enters first after the faces enter and is MAULED by Edge. The faces calmly walk down the aisle and while they don't do anything to help Edge, they don't stop it either. RIC FLAIR runs out to help chase off EDGE and we have to go to commercial! -COMMERCIAL BREAK- SEGMENT 7: HHH prepares for his huge match against ORTON. Flair returns and HHH asks why he deviated from the plan. Flair tells him it's because he brought "the kid" into Evolution and will always feel responsible for him because of it. HHH tells Flair to get his loyalties straight, or someone may have to straighten them out. SEGMENT 8: BISCHOFF enters and says that to ensure there will be no outside interference in the next match from any of the other contestants in the Elimination Chamber, there will be two outside enforecers: Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair. SEGMENT 9: THERE ARE TWO -COMMERCIAL BREAKS- in the following match. SINGLES MATCH HHH vs. RANDY ORTON Hard-fought battle with HHH doing a lot of Flair-esque comedy spots. Orton almost hits the RKO several times. HHH finally delievers a punt of a low blow and is DQ'd. He begins beating down on Orton until Flair stops it, and decks HHH! The crowd goes nuts... until HBK knocks Flair out with a Sweet Chin Music! HBK has joined Evolution. Batista limps down, and is about to attack HHH and HBK until HHH explains that he never asked Edge, Benoit, and Jericho to attack him... he wanted them to attack Orton. He then provides video to prove it. It seems that the tenuous alliance continues between HHH and Batsita. SUDDENLY, Bischoff enters and says that he feels HBK has betrayed him. He'll face RIC FLAIR in a STREET FIGHT, and the loser WILL NEVER WRESTLE AGAIN. END OF SHOW
