Me and Slasher Flick should be natural enemies. But he's the only one that understands what I'm saying.

USC's defensive line doesn't really bother me though b/c OU has handled every defensive line they've faced.

 

However I may have to retract my statement on USC's offensive line b/c well they have protected Leinart well this season. So that'll make it interesting to see if OU's defensive line can bring the pressure.

But honestly I think OU's O-Line can handle USC's D-line.

It doesn't bother me that you think your team is better. You should naturally be entitled to do so. But give USC some credit. They did get to the Orange Bowl for a reason. That's all I ask, and I will give OU credit. They are very good. The Orange Bowl will be very good... hopefully.

Hey USC is where they're at by winning. They're undefeated in a major conference.

Of course they're good.

The OU players think they may smear USC but I am with the USC players in thinking it's going to be a close game.

 

However me and you are the only ones that give OU credit in this folder so that's why I'm talking them up so much more. Everyone gives USC all the credit and seems to think they're going to handle business easily when that is just not the case.

 

So USC has the tools to win obviously. The special teams of USC totally blows OU's special teams out of the water. It's not even close on that front.

Show me where you give them credit. I have seen a small compliment here and there but nobody besides me, Slasher, Hogan Made Wrestling, and Secret Agent have given them any of the credit they are due.

 

The rest of you will pretty much say "OU is good but USC will eat them for lunch. OU has this this and this fault but USC has barely any if any at all." And that's pretty much the view everyone in this folder takes.

Where have you given OU credit? Where have you given them a dime of credit?

In all the weekly college fb threads you and everyone else were always jumping down OU's throats and going on about how they weren't good enough to be #2.

And in that Orange Bowl thread there were tons of people all over them.

I'm not going to go searching through old posts b/c I'm at work and I know a customer will walk in as soon as I start looking.

But show me where you have given them any credit. Everyone seems to think USC is better with no more justification than "The Big XII sucks. You like OU so I don't like them in spite of you."(that was Mike SC).

USC O-Line

- Has allowed Matt Leinart to be sacked 23 times.

- RB LenDale White has a 5.2 YPA and RB Reggie Bush has a 6.1 YPA.

 

Oklahoma O-Line

- Has allowed Jason White to be sacked 7 times.

- RB Adrian Peterson has a 5.9 YPA and RB Kejuan Jones has a 4.0 YPA.

 

USC Defense

- Has 48 sacks

- Has 9 fumble recoveries

- Has 19 interceptions

 

Oklahoma Defense

- Has 38 sacks

- Has 14 fumble recoveries

- Has 8 interceptions

 

Conclusion: It seems to me that Oklahoma has the superior pass protection though USC may have slightly better run blocking. As far as defense, both teams can pressure the quarterback and cause fumbles but USC gets the edge for the amount of interceptions they had. Granted, White hasn't thrown many but USC could still be dangerous in that regard.

 

My prediction: USC 31, Oklahoma 28 in a close battle.
