NFL Week 17

Depends on what year you become a Saints fan...

I started in 1989, when they snuck into the playoffs before getting assraped by the Bears.

The next year, they won the first NFC West title in the team's history.

My dad was a Saints fan and raised me to be one.

Is that child abuse?

No. Child abuse would be being raised to be a Cardinals fan.

Actually, I think being a Montreal Expos fan or Milwaukee Brewers fan is worse.

I'm just curious.

If it meant Hasslett being gone would you rather the Saints miss the playoffs or is making the playoffs more important?

That's true. I was only thinking in football terms.

Might as well add the Cleveland Indians to that list as well.

Haslett isn't the problem...

It's a personnel problem IMHO.

I'd start with getting some big O-Line guys and more DBs in the draft.

Haslett will probably come back anyway after coming so close to the playoffs, so making the playoffs definitely wins.

Whether or not the Saints' make the playoffs or not, I'm pretty sure Haslett will be back next year.

That would help as would drafting Derrick Johnson.

Hasslett's seems to be the cause of personel problems. It seems guys he doesn't take a liking to get run out of town.

Letting Kyle Turley go was a horrible move on the Saints part as well. The O-Line has yet to recover.

And now Turley could be out from the game forever due to chronic back problems? He also was going to cost too much. Next?

Is it wrong that I am cheering for the Rams?

It was still a bad choice at the time. Paying him more is better than the weak line they've got right now. I'm not using hindsight for that. Yeah he got hurt but at the time they let an excellent linemen and lockerroom guy go.

Let's not forget about the Detroit Lions. Even when they do well, they will find a way to embarrass themselves. Not to mention finding new and creative ways to lose(See also: their 2001 season and rallying back in the final seconds against the Minnesota Vikings only to lose on a botched extra point.)

to the 13 yard line and now barring a fumble or a blocked field goal this game should be over.
