Guest ManKinnd Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Goodear, Taker at #9?! He's NEVER had a **** match, and has a *** match about once a year when someone carries him. And I don't know how you can rate Lesnar in the top 20 already when he hasn't even wrestled a non-squash match.
Guest Report post Posted May 9, 2002 How can people be putting Randy Orton and Brock on their lists they have wrestled like under ten matches together i don't disagree that they could be great but surely there are WWEgh superstars that work better
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted May 9, 2002 I'll just use guys that are active right now and I only feel like doing 10 at the moment. 1. Kurt Angle- If it weren't for that shitty face turn and a horrible series of opponents after No Way Out, Austin would probably be in this spot. 2. Chris Jericho- He's had the best PPV match in every single one this year(not a REAL big accomplishment considering all the crap) and is just so ON right now in the jerkwad heel character. 3. Eddy Guerrero- He's been on since coming back and those tag matches on RAW have been the bomb. 4. Steve Austin- He's trying, but Big Show? Hall? Being teamed up with Bradshaw? Good lord, no wonder he got pissed. 5. Edge- He's stepped up his in-ring game since the post-No Way Out demotion. Just needs to ditch the goofy act once and for all. 6. Booker T- Lacking a serious finish badly, but he's getting some decent face pops. 7. RVD- I don't like him at all, but at least he seems to be trying sometimes. 8. Triple H- Finally seems to be shaking off the rust. 9. Lance Storm- I like the guy, but he's severely overrated. 10. Christian- Cheap heat + bland moveset = dull at times. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Alright...here is the bps top 20. Based on...um...watchable matches to varrying degrees of good. The people who are injured will be judged on past performances...but be docked a little for being out (kind of like...adjusting for rust upon return). 1. Kurt Angle (he's the best thing going right now) 2. Chris Benoit (If he wasn't out...maybe he'd be #1) 3. Chris Jericho (he's slowed himself up about half a step since No Mercy. Carried Hogan and HHH...no small feat) 4. Eddy Guerrero (honestly...he seems to be sleepwalking so far since his return IMO. the fact that hes still #4 on my list means the WWE is really poor...it says some good things for Eddy though) 5. Steve Austin (also sleepwalking. This guy could be at the top (or the top 2-3 at least, with minimal effort) 6. RVD (starting to beleive he can have a watchable match with anyone. Is he a great "wrestler"? no. but Hogan and Taker are in the main event...so get off my back) 7. Lance Storm (I've seen him do impressive things in 2-3 minute matches. If only the WWE would turn him loose) 8. Christian (see Storm, Lance) 9. Tajiri 10. Kidman 11. Booker T 12. Edge 13. Kanyon 14. Mike Awesome (has to show something when he returns...hasn't been Awesome in WWE or WCW) 15. Rock (love him or hate him...his matches usually don't suck) 16. Hurricane 17. Val Venis 18. William Regal 19. Rhyno 20. HHH (well...the son of a bitch made my list. its up to him to start moving up it) People who just missed: Dlo, Kane, Brock (Dlo and Brock need to do something now...Kane is good for a big man). and If Flair was a full time wrestler he would be on there somewhere. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Vince's match with Flair at RR2002 and with Austin at SVTDM1999 are both quite good, for what they are. Vince's brings a good heel psychology to his matches and also doesn't mind juicing or taking a beating. I like Vince's work better than Shane's as a whole (oh, and his match with Shane at WM wasn't bad either). Well, for the record, the match I was watching was the pre-split Flair & ? (Austin? HHH? Bradshaw? I forget) vs Vince/Kurt. Vince can be kind of entertaining and he can take a really good bump for a guy who's older than Hogan, but unless it's a gimmick match or he's going to hit the finish a bloody mess.. Well, let's just say putting Vince into a normal gimmick and bump-free ME match does not scream "payoff."
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted May 9, 2002 It was Flair/HHH vs. Vince/Kurt.

Guest Goodear Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Goodear, Taker at #9?! He's NEVER had a **** match, and has a *** match about once a year when someone carries him. And I don't know how you can rate Lesnar in the top 20 already when he hasn't even wrestled a non-squash match. Well, lets take a look at who I ranked underneath Taker... 10) Triple H 11) Edge 12) Hurricane 13) Kidman 14) Albert 15) Christian 16) Brock Lesner 17) Lance Storm 18) D'Lo Brown 19) Jeff Hardy 20) Billy Gunn The only one of those guys that even possibly have **** matches are Triple H, who hasn't been up to snuff post injury but has been improving, maybe Edge for his thing with Angle that I didn't see, and Lance who maybe them a while ago in ECW and hasn't impressed lately. While on the other hand, Undertaker's first Hell in The Cell match with Michaels could easily be termed a high star affair. And while Taker doesn't pull out the high star goodness that often, I found his work with Tajiri, RVD, and The Hardyz to be certainly entertaining. I put Lesner in there because I find his power arsenal and the limited bumping he's done as being just fine. That and I was running out of people that I enjoy watching and aren't injured... I think I shafted Val Venis
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted May 9, 2002 I don't think I can name the top twenty, but here are my top 5..... 1. Kurt Angle-- Consistency speaks for itself 2. Chris Benoit-- Injured or not, he can do it all 3. Eddy Guerrero-- Has returned as a very solid worker 4. Steve Austin-- His minimal effort has put him lower, but he is still better than 85% of the roster 5. Chris Jericho-- His work ethic is great, he puts in good effort
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 9, 2002 I question the people who rank Hunter over SCSA and Edge over Christian.
Guest Goodear Report post Posted May 9, 2002 I question the people who rank Hunter over SCSA and Edge over Christian. Well, like one person put Triple H over Austin so its not like you have a whole lot of people to question over that. Regarding Christian vs. Edge, I have always found Christian to be pretty lackluster when it comes to offensive production. Basically, Christian has limited himself to two big moves and everything else is incredibly basic. Sure, Christian bumps like a champ, but that alone doesn't make him better than Edge. Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Personally I like Christian more than Edge and I THINK he probably is the better worker, but over the last couple months he has not been able to show any of it, not his fault, but it does affect his placement. I would like to put Christian ahead but Edge did just have a **** match, granted it was with Angle but it is one more than Christian has had in recent memory. Guest TheyCallMeMark Report post Posted May 9, 2002 I'm not going to include Eddie, (haven't seen anything since his return) Kane, Scotty, Rhyno or Beniot, but I'll do top ten... Please keep in mind this is at the moment, not all time or anything (hence Austin's low spot). 1. Kurt Angle. My flat out favourite wrestler right now. Angle has been doing stuff on par with what Beniot was before his injury. Even if Benoit comes back 100% I'm not so sure that he will be that much better than Angle. 2. The Rock. Along with Angle the most consisten worker on the roster. This guy can have a watchable match with anyone (and I'm pretty sure that includes ANYONE.) I'm not sure if he exactly has the carrying skills of Angle, though, which is why I ranked him lower. 3. Rob Van Dam. Has done nothing less than impressed me in every match he's been in. This may sem a little high, and normally he'd be below Jericho, Austin, Beniot and Eddie, but as I said this is at this very moment. 4. Tajiri. Those kicks look brutal. And I like brutal. He's my favourite part of every Smackdown, every episode except when Angle does something awesome. But man I like those kicks. 5. Jericho. Had kind of a lull for awhile it seemed (the beginning of his title reign) but he has obviously come back in full swing, and is only getting better (he had a good match with HHH, for chrissakes!). 6. Kidman. See Rob Van Dam. 7. Austin. Was going about this time last year, but has ben on the downward slide since then. Still, though I feel his time may be slipping, he's doing very well. If it hadn't been for shitty opponents on RAW he probably would've ranked higher. 8. Val Venis. Seen very little, but what I have impressed the hell out of me. He kept up with Angle, which was impressive enough, I thought (by keeping up I mean he wasn't carried). 9. Edge. I know, it's pretty popular beleif that Christian's better, and he probably is, but the way I see it, Edge is getting over, and improving very quickly... And working better matches at the moment. 10. Booker T, Triple H, William Regal. All have shown that they are below the above (at this time) as far as in ring ability goes, to me. All three are pretty sluggish, though Booker gets around pretty well his offense is nil, HHH is slow, but his offense is slightly larger, and Regal is just unimpressive most of the time.
