Guest Redhawk Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 My Browns have the No. 3 pick. I'm thinking offensive line needs some help. I just don't know who the top prospects are. We could also use a CB, in my opinion. Maybe Antrell Rolle from Miami.
Guest Deebo Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Cowboys have the 11th and 18th pick. I'm looking for them to hopefully grab a WR and Defensive Player with the two picks. It all depends on what they do in free agency, if they don't grap any D-lineman in free agency, they need to get one with one of the picks. If they fill the gaps at DT and DE, then they should go WR and CB. Although I'd love for them to find a way to get Derrick Johnson. If I had to guess I'd say Mike Williams and Justin Miller/Marlin Jackson.

MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Ravens, via a trade up, need to get Mike Williams.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 What about Braylon Edwards? if Williams is already gone... You know S.F doesn't need it's first pick, Baltimore should throw the entire draft to S.F to get that #1 to get Williams since they do really need him...but would be better served trading with Cleveland for #3. Aren't their any good WR's on the market this off-season? Bengals need a Run stopping D.
Guest Crazy Dan Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Depending on who is the GM of the Niners will depend what they do with the first pick. If they have a Bill Walsh type GM who can spot talent and hidden gems, then they should trade down for more picks becuase they really need O-linemen among other positions and the more picks they have, the more holes they can fill. But, if they get a Donahue GM who just does not judge talent as good as others, then they might stick with the #1 pick and take Leinert (if he comes out). I have also heard that Rogers being a top QB pick too. I love his quick release, but he should stay in school for one more season. I also like Smith from Utah and if he is going to be available in later rounds, then the 49ers would be smart to trade down too, becuase I think Smith could be very good in the Pros. Unfortunately there are no real "Sure Things" this year, so any player will be a risk, so you need a GM who has the ability to see the long term potential in the player, past their college greatness. So who knows, but it is nice that the Niners do have options and should be able to get more high round picks if they choose to trade the pick. As for a team looking for a good RB, Arrington of Cal I think will make a team very happy as he has the tools to be a very good back. Unfortunately I don't know that many college players, but I am sure there are many other good players that I am missing. And no, I would not take Clarett, as he has cancer written all over him.

Yes, so what though. I'll quick mention, Tampa Bay. Not necessarily a need position, but I'd love for Tampa Bay to draft Derrick Johnson the OLB from Texas.
JustJoe2k5 Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Some mock drafts I have seen have Carolina going for an OLB with their first-round pick, but hopefully they get an Offensive Linemen as there are two or three that are projected to go around the middle of round one.
MikeJordan23 Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Raider Fan...and....help on the defensive line, we get NO pass rush ever.

We could also use a CB, in my opinion. Maybe Antrell Rolle from Miami. I was thinking Mike Williams or Braylon Edwards for the Browns. There are some decent o-lineman to be had in free agency and no really great ones in the current draft. I don't really think they need any secondary aside from finding a replacement for Griffith. We also had that one guy that Northcutt feel on in training camp as well. I also think the big problem with the secondary is that there are no good pass rushers on the line to help them out. I think the linebackers are fine as well. I think a big time receiving threat would help the quarterbacks a lot as they could get rid of the ball faster and have more options in general. I think Garmon, Verba, Tucker and Faine are still a servicable enough line.
