Guest treble charged Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Well, it looks like the Yankees are going to be getting some help thanks to the Jays, with Mondesi, Cruz, or Stewart likely going there. I don't know why the Jays always think its necessary to trade their best players within the division, especially to the Yankees. (Cone and Clemens come to mind).
Guest Some Guy Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 They got Wells and Homer bush (who they just released yesterday) for Clemens and Wells won 20 games for them. So that wasn't a horrible trade or anything. They shouldn't be trading any quality players to the Yankees anyway, they should trade them to the Red Sox.
Guest treble charged Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 I'd say that the Jays lost the Clemens trade HORRIBLY. With Bush being released, none of the players are left in Toronto, and Wells is back in NY. Plus, the player they got for Wells hasn't even been able to pitch in over a year. *Hangs head in shame*
Guest Some Guy Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Oh I forgot about the guy from the White Sox. Clemens got his 785th win last night BTW. Sorry i had to throw a little salt on your wounds.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Well, Clemens would have left as a free agent 1 year later anyway. And with Homer Bush's release in mind, anyone notice the Yankees have had a really good knack for knowing which top prospects to trade and which to keep? (Jay Buhner excepted).
Guest Some Guy Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Jay Buhner was a Yankee? I didn;t know that. The Yanks do tend to make pretty good trades. There I said something nice about the Yankees. AS are you happy now?
