Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 9, 2002 well I'd like too. I don't know about anyone else... BTW. some people have been asking about getting us our own folder. should we ask or what?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 9, 2002 If we do it this show, it has to be the main event (The guy who takes the fall obviously won't be able to do war games after that) And yes, ask.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 9, 2002 yes it would have to be the main event....I don't know it'd be up to you and AP since it's your idea and he's the organizer. and I'll ask tony.

Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Anyways, I think it's time we got our own announcers. I say there should be 3: 1 - The first guy should be a Jim Ross type. A Face announcer the loves the faces no matter what. Good for hyping storylines. Basic wrestling knowledge. 2- A wrestler the knows a lot about wrestling. Knows most of the move names and helps with phsycology. Joey Styles type. 3- A heel announcer. Not a jerry lawler type. A true heel announcer, like Heyman was. We need some names though.... Ideas for announcer names: 1.)Bobby Angel (babyface announcer...could do ongoing gimmick where the aWo SWEARS his last name is really Angle, he just changed it to not seem biased towards them. Since he's the face announcer, they think he's "pretending" when he calls them heinous, etc.) 2.)Edison Freud (he's the guy who "knows it all", right? Take the names of two incredibly intellectual men for his name.) 3.)Dick Rudo (pronounced ROO-DOUGH...another parody name, but hey, he's supposed to be heel...) Just some random ideas tossed out. Let me know whatcha think.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Definitely some goofy/cheesy/cool announcer names While we're on the topic though... what's up with the backstage interview people? Are they the same ones for the WWF, and why? Just wondering... I still did my promo for Helddown w/ Michael Cole, but are we going to make up our own guys/gals for that too? Guest Tony149 Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Everybody support the Tony "The Body" movement. Especially the idea of having "The Tony "The Body" Award" and an Arm-Wrestling Challenge. It can move storylines. You also need a control center segment to plug the PPV's. Maybe hosted by "The Body" himself? Bring the late '80s/early '90s feel to the shows. And don't overexpose the shows ie. 10 shows in one week. Keep things fresh and somewhat realistic. When is HeldDOWN!? Thursday? I forgot. This shit is addictive. Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 9, 2002 i don't know. we've just used cole and coach so far. I've just finished writing HeldDOWN and I think everyone will enjoy it.
Guest Big Poppa Popick Report post Posted May 9, 2002 yeah lets keep the jobber announcers for backstage shit
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 9, 2002 HeldDOWN starts in a few minutes...

Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 9, 2002 monday i geuss
Guest Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Yeah, it would be cool to have two weekly shows (Angle is RAW, HELDdown) the PPV, and maybe a magazine-type show hosted by Tony. And all the other shit in the OAOAST.
Guest Report post Posted May 9, 2002 monday i geuss Who's writing that show? My match is: Jason vs. Brock Lesnar After the match I plan to do something.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted May 9, 2002 How many shows do you guys have? I suggested doing the shows with an late '80s/early '90s feel to it. You know with a show on Thursday (5-7 matches with promos), then one on Saturday night/afternoon (1 hour show = 3-4 matches with a few promos), then again on Sunday night/afternoon (Same format as Saturday) followed by the PPV if they air on Sunday. Maybe even a Clash of the Champions type show.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Well, Tony, we want you to host a magazine/Excess type show...
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted May 9, 2002 You want Tony "The Body" to host a magazine show? I wouldn't have a problem hosting a show. We could call it "The Body Shop" (Which was the name I wanted to use for a "Piper's Pit" type show.) Start throwing out ideas for that type of show. Would there be matches or just a straight out magazine show? If I like the ideas or come up with my own format...I would do the show.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted May 9, 2002 As much as I hate to say it, I say we copy the old Excess and have a wrestler being interviewed by the Body. We could even have our own scripted phone calls and e-mails.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Tony, it would basically be a magazine show. Maybe each show you can have one of us as a guest. But honestly, if you want to do it, do it however you want. This is addictive, aint it?
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Tony, it would basically be a magazine show. Maybe each show you can have one of us as a guest. But honestly, if you want to do it, do it however you want. This is addictive, aint it? Yeah, like I said in a past post, "this shit is additive." I could see having a guest on. I guess I would have to PM the person I'm interviewing back and forth to keep the dialogue moving. EXAMPLE: Tony "The Body": "Anglesault, you have a match with a bitter foe by the name of "The Glass Ceiling". He's never lost a match to anyone. Some even say you'll never see another chance at the title if you lose." END EXAMPLE. That looks kinda cool. The control center would come into play. In my mind this would be a one hour show with commericals. So I would have about 4-6 segments every show.
Guest Report post Posted May 9, 2002 1.)Bobby Angel {Sports Entertainment Announcer} 2.)Edison Freud {Wrestling Announcer} 3.) Tony "The Body" {Heel} Those three sound good. It shouldn't be to hard for anyone, since they don't even have to use announcers in their match.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Just wondering, since I'm still new at this, who exactly writes the different matches for the TV shows and PPV's? I know that different people PM the writers with whatever their guys promos are, but who decides what happens in the matches themselves?
Guest Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Well, people basicly pick and choose which match they want for the PPV, and they decide EVERYTHING that happens. Case in point, I at AnglePalooza booked a Tag title match. It was Dlo/Some-Guy vs. Mystery team. My mystery team was Men on A mission, and they of course won the titles. Like I said, you decided EVERYTHING that happens in that match.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Jingus for PPVs the matches are written by all different people so you PM them your moves and ideas. The TV shows seem to be written by just one person. I think that AS and CWM are the head bookers but are open to suggestions.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 9, 2002 I LOVE the idea of Tony having his own show, that's hilarious! It seems everbody liked HeldDOWN so I'll do one for next week too. But who is going to do RAW IS ANGLE maybe two people could do it since it's our flagship show.
Guest Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Now that the title match is Stairway to Heaven, should it be before or after war games? I think BBP was booking war games to take place AFTER the Title match, but someone almost dying and competing in the next match is stupid.
