Why are we naming all of our shows after actual WCW shows?

So far, only 3 or 4 people have actually suggested names.

I came up with a new PPV line up after a complaint. So, here are the names.

 

Jan. 2003 - Wrestle War: featuring War Games

 

Feb. - Living Angleously

 

March - AnglePalooza

 

April - AngleMania

 

May - AngleSlam: Battle of the Belts

 

June - The Great Angle Bash

 

July - Beach Brawl. NOTE: The GAB will switch months with this event next year. If we're still around.

 

August - Ashes 2 Ashes

 

Sep. - Excessive Force

 

Oct. - Apocalypse: The Highway to Hell

 

Nov. - Breakdown

 

Dec. - Battered, Bloody & Beaten

The events in Feb., April, May, August, Sep., and Dec. are the TV specials. There's 6 TV specials & 6 PPVs.

 

The names go into effect starting next month. Unless somebody thinks the July PPV name sucks. If you do -- blame it on Zack Malibu. He came up with it.

I tried getting a theme for summer time & Halloween. They didn't work out. Most wanted names not used by WCW, ECW & WWE. The only name we'll use that was already a PPV done by WCW is "Wrestle War". That PPV will play a BIG part of a storyline. Oh, yeah! I already have a storyline for that. Booking in advance ROCKS, baby!

I feel we have some good names.

 

There were names I liked that didn't become their own PPV, but I made them into a subtitle because I really liked them ie. month of Feb. & Oct.  

 

Now I'm going to talk with our Graphics designer, BPP. Hopefully he'll make the logo for July's PPV.

That was going to become a PPV, but for many reasons it didn't. However, Battlebowl will make it to the OAOAST. At some point it will be done on WCW. My show.

Guys, I need YOUR help! I'm setting up a booking team for the WCW show. I want to start booking a few shows in advance. When Battlebowl is done on WCW, you will get the chance to write some of the matches. So if you want to be more involved in writing our (OAOAST) shows...This is the opportunity. You will also get credit as a Producer on WCW.

I don't follow XPW. So I didn't know they used that name. The name will be dropped., and the Feb. show is just "Living Angleously".

 

At this rate, we may have to call a show "A Walk In The Park".

I don't buy the XPW vids either, i just go to their site and laugh at their incompetency.  Make Steph look like a MENSA member.

You could use anybody in the OAOAST. Doesn't matter who. Jobbers could be real or made up. Throw is some tag matches as well. Use guys like CWM & SG, The In Crowd, etc.

Also, could it also be similar to the old Wrestling Challenge/Saturday Night's etc. where we have one feature match, or guys do run-in's on their rivals, etc.?  Not to the extent of IZ and HD, but maybe like "one every few shows" to further an angle or something.

It's June 23rd. I pushed the date back a little further with the idea, it gave the people writing the matches a little more time to finish them up.

 

Zack, send me some matches.

 

As for your second question, my show is highly based around the "old school" shows ie. Superstars, Saturday Night, Worldwide, etc. You'll noticed it a lot more this week. A major angle will take place very soon. Also, down the road, WCW will have Battlebowl & the Strongest Arm competition (Arm Wrestling). So the show will get a helluva lot better and entertaining over the next few months.

Is it only me who thinks AngleMania and AngleSlam should be reinstated?

I know the Angle references are being cut down, but AngleMania was the first PPV we did, and AngleSlam sounds good.
