Vern Gagne Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 I was wondering if there were any sites, that dealt with the what if of sports? What if Buckner makes the play at 1st, what if Jackie Smith catches the TD? Things like that.
nogoodnick Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 I thought there was a book about that.
Red Baron Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 The Hockey News did this in October. Basically the What If's such as What if Eric Lindross played for Quebec in 93?
CanadianGuitarist Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 WHAT IF.... Eric Lindros, Phil Esposito and Patrick Roy were never traded..... Demers hadn't called the illegal curve in 1993.... Cherry had 5 men on the ice in 1979... I have the book in question, albeit it's in my car, currently in the shop....all of the above are answered, and a few more, which I can't remember. RedBaron and the night crew guys at work managed to spill hot dog garnishes on it in, unbelievably, two separate incidents. Also some great topics to discuss, both fun and serious: Which was more important: Summit Series or Miracle on Ice? Best Clutch Player Ever? Best Sutter? Best Hair?
Vern Gagne Posted January 13, 2005 Author Report Posted January 13, 2005 I thought there was a book about that. TSN covered it last year. The reason I asks is I was looking at an AlternativeHistory Site. Just curious if there was anything related to sports history.
