It's a great idea, but it should be noted that none of the stories in the TPB could be what you might call "recent". In fact, Death: The High Cost of Living #1 was one of Vertigo's first releases...

This TPB sucks. No Preacher, no Sandman, and would it fucking kill DC to collect Swamp Thing #20 (which is Alan Moore FIRST Swamp Thing story, no matter how hard DC tries to push #21 as his first ever ST story) in TPB format?

 

They should have collected the following six stories:

 

1. Animal Man #5 (Willy Cyote as Jesus)

 

2. Sandman #8 (Sandman and Death reunite)

I looked it up and your right, 20 was Moore's first. Doesn't the TPB start at 21 too--the one where Swampy learns he isn't human?
