Hektik Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 I never did get why Bischoff thought that the guys like Mysterio, Juvi, and Psicosis would be more marketable without their masks. I always thought Juvi was better off without the mask. He was a pretty good looking guy. He should have been pushed as an overbearing latin lothario.
ChrisMWaters Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 The Juice was fantastic. Too bad Juvi had too many personal problems and that Rock is always busy in Hollywood now. If Rock would have sold for him, I might have enjoyed a Rock/Juvi feud.
RavishingRickRudo Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 Oh god no. It wouldn't even be a contest. The Juice was funny on a completely different level than The Rock. They wouldn't mesh. The Juice and The Hurricane? That would rule.
LatinAssasin Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 Well, in Mexico it happens when a company will fake having a wrestler by just having someone else wear a mask. When La Parka wrestles over here, they announce him by his full name, so people knows it's him. It also says 'Original' on his boots, as to not confuse when other companies have Super Parka, or La Parka Jr. Psicosis wrestled sans mask with Halloween and Damien 666. It's been a while though, around August I think. EDIT: The Juice rules all.

Or did I use a bad example of someone?

Or did I use a bad example of someone? Sorta yeah. It'll be the promoter who does it. It used to happen all the time back in the day. A friend of my dad's was El Santo, or La Flecha Verde, I forget, someone popular's double. Nowadays they have little disclaimers, or slight name differences.
CBright7831 Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 For those who don't know, Psicosis has begun wrestling with the mask again, so we don't have to worry about the diseased booking of WCW crossing over. Psicosis masked = better than Psicosis unmasked and dressed like a regular person. Well, that's a good thing. Although, like with Mysterio, Psichosis masked could NEVER appear in a WWE show in Mexico unless they want him booed out of the building and such. Why is that? I didn't realize Mysterio or Psychosis were hated in Mexico.

pochorenella Posted January 14, 2005 Author Report Posted January 14, 2005 Didn't Rey Mysterio wrestle with his mask when the RAW brand had that show in Mexico last year? IIRC it was a CW Title defense against Chavo Guerrero, who was the Champ at the time. They were on loan from SD! for that particular show. They had another show in Mexico a few months after that but I don't think Rey was on that one.
