Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 So it looks like it's going to be #1/#2 in both conferences. How boring.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I can't wait for the Colts' excuses for losing this game.
Exslade ZX Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I can't wait for the Colts' excuses for losing this game. It was really cold. >_>
iggymcfly Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 The thing is that the Colts actually matched up with the Patriots way better than the Steelers or Falcons do. With the way New England won today, I can't see anything that can keep them from winning another Super Bowl.
therealworldschampion Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I guess now Peyton Manning has assumed the #1 spot in "Biggest Chokers" over Greg Norman, the Atlanta Braves, and the Minnesota Vikings.
Mole Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I guess now Peyton Manning has assumed the #1 spot in "Biggest Chokers" over Greg Norman, the Atlanta Braves, and the Minnesota Vikings. The Braves? Include the Bills on that list.
KingPK Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Nope, the Yankees hold that crown still
Damaramu Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I think The Eagles have a chance against well.......everyone. I think they'll win next week and probably play the Pats in the SB. These Pats are crazy right now though.....but Indy is playing pretty crappy.
2GOLD Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 You know, hats off to the Indy Defense. Those guys may have struggled that last drive but before that, they were outstanding against the pass. Did they have problems with the run? Yes, but that was more of elusive running. And major props to Billy B. How he does it with almost any piece I have no idea.
therealworldschampion Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Belichick is just a great coach, plain and simple.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 The Eagles are basically fighting for the right to get destroyed by Pittsburgh or New England. They don't have much of a chance TOless and with their weak run defense.
2GOLD Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Just curious: How many Steeler and Patriot fans are going to buy the "2005 AFC CHAMPION INDY COLTS" t-shirts?
Bored Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 So it looks like it's going to be #1/#2 in both conferences. How boring. Of note in the Wild Card Era (since 1978) the home team has won every divisional playoff game and both conference championship games only once (1991).
Mole Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Just curious: How many Steeler and Patriot fans are going to buy the "2005 AFC CHAMPION INDY COLTS" t-shirts? I'd buy it just for shits and giggles.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I'm guessing Manning and Dungy are going to turn Wayne into their sacrifical lame so they don't have to take any blame this time around.
KingPK Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 If Gillette has any smarts, they'd start a "Who's Your Daddy" chant right about now.
2GOLD Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I'd expect an "MVP" chant more than likely.
JangoFett4Hire Posted January 17, 2005 Author Report Posted January 17, 2005 I'm curious... which one of the Patriots were ripe for the picking? Brady? David Givens? Tedy Bruschi? Thanks to Vanderyakkityyak, I'm enjoying this humiliation even more... Manning = OWNED!
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 After listening to just about every person in Indy call in radio shows over the last week about how they were going to take it to the Pats and Peyton wasn't gonna choke this time...this is amusing.
2GOLD Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Can we Patriot fans not brag about this please? Let us as fans enjoy the Pats win and call it a weekend till New England faces an extremely hard test with Pittsburgh.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Are you KIDDING? The Pats are gonna KILL the Steelers! Phil Simms and Shannon Sharpe said it!
KingPK Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I could gloat, but I'll just let all the "experts" eat their crow. Sets up a good weekend of football next week.
Mole Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 After listening to just about every person in Indy call in radio shows over the last week about how they were going to take it to the Pats and Peyton wasn't gonna choke this time...this is amusing. Which was the complete opposite here in NE. WEEI was all about "You know there is another QB playing this week. I heard he has won two SB rings" all week.
Slayer Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Will the wheels finally come off the media's Manning bandwagon now?
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Will the wheels finally come off the media's Manning bandwagon now? No, the media is still on the Archie bandwagon even though he threw 48 more INTs than TDs during his career.
The Man in Blak Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I don't think so, considering that Peyton did about all that he could with maybe 25 minutes of possession time. The problem is that the rest of the Colts (4 drops? Three drives of 14 or more plays for the Patriots? Edge gets 39 yards on 14 carries?) let him down.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Good game and the defense looks really fresh for the first time in months. Boomer just said Peyton is the new Marino and won't make a SB. Marino was shocked. Awesome lol
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Dan Marino is going to KILL boomer esiason now. Boomer: Peyton Manning is this generations Dan Marino Dan: WHAT?!? Boomer: Yep. Never getting the superbowl win and always in need of help defensively" Dan: HEY! I MADE THE SUPERBOWL! Boomer: As I was saying...
