Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 Anyone know anything about him?
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted January 20, 2005 he was the Vikings O-coordinator for a few years, so I'd say he's pretty good.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 I don't really see an explosive offensive playbook designed for a dome team such as the Vikings meshing well with MIAMI DOLPHINS.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 Brian Billick did alright going from the explosive offensive playbook of a dome team to an offensive wasteland. I'm sure Linehan will be fine.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 Which side will Saban focus on, offense or defense?
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 Which side will Saban focus on, offense or defense? I would assume defense. I mean LSU had a scary defense under this guy and hwo knows what he could do for the Dolphins.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 I'd also assume defense as that is primarily Miami's strength at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised to see them draft an early round RB and maybe target a 5th or 6th round WR either.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 So then Linehan will be the primary guy offensively... I'm not sure about this.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 Linehan's biggest accomplishment is helping mold Daunte Culpepper into on the best QB's in the NFL. It's something Culpepper himself has said. He's also a pass first...pass often cordinator.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 And Miami's personnel is more for the run... see how I say it doesn't match well...
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted January 21, 2005 Miami's personnel will be gone in a couple years, I'm guessing. (keep McMichael though)
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted January 21, 2005 With the great defense Miami has with Saban's brilliance he deployed at LSU. I don't think he'll need to focus to much on the offensive side of ball. He smartly chose a OC with quality background.
Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 I'd also assume defense as that is primarily Miami's strength at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised to see them draft an early round RB and maybe target a 5th or 6th round WR either. At this point I doubt they will end up drafting a RB with both Edgerrin James and Travis Henry saying they want to play in Miami. I would think that one or the other will end up there at some point. If they do get one of those two I would want Miami to draft a QB. The guy from Utah maybe (Alex Smith I think?) or Jason White even, although I would personally stay away from a guy with a history of bad knee(s?).
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 If I were Miami, I might look at Charlie Frye or Jason Campbell as a 2nd or 3rd round QB to draft. Maybe target a DE to compliment Taylor in the 1st round and bolster the pass rush some.
Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 If they don't grab a QB in the first round the only other acceptable position (assuming they get a FA RB) would be O-line. The o-line was absolutely horrendous this year, and hasn't really been any good in about 5 years.
