I marked out for the XXXI part. I can't remember how it must feel like to have such joy in winning like that, since it was so long ago now. I'm nowhere near the Laker fan I am the Packer fan, either so while the 3peat was great, I went absolutely bonkers in January `97.

 

So here's to hoping you guys who are REAL fans of your respective teams enjoy the win as much as I did back then. To everyone that loses, don't worry; both of these teams are likely to be back here often in the coming years.

I know better than to count on it. The only time a Philadelphia team won a title was when I was just a year old. If the Eagles win, it will effectively be the FIRST time I ever see my team win a championship.

I had no hope going into that game, even if they had won I didn't expect them to do anything afterwards. Low expectations = low disappointment.

 

Losing a Super Bowl after trying to get over the proverbial hump for 4 years must hurt much worse.

You'll probably like this as well, as most Packer fans were glad to see the Eagles whip the Vikings afterwards:

Not as much as the Tampa loss 2 years ago. New England was the rightfully the favorite in this game and the Eagles played them close. The Eagles were favored in that game against Tampa two years ago, a team they had pretty much owned before that game....

Are the Moss billboards up yet in Wisconsin? The ones that are pretty much a takeoff of the Mastercard commercials?

Yeah but Tampa had a hell of a run in 2002. They were destined for a championship sooner or later.

 

Like I said, don't worry Philly will at least have one championship when all is said and done, certainly within the next few years.
