Taker666 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 "Theres good news for Smackdown this week anyway. The 1/20 edition of Smackdown did a 3.8 broadcast rating, with a 5.7 share. That is the second week in a row that the show has done a 3.8 and will have the creative team doing cartwheels up at Titan Towers. My take on this is that WWE is benefiting from no Survivor on CBS and the anything-but-Friends-like Joey at 8 p.m. on NBC, along with the losing-luster Apprentice. Also, this week CSI aired a repeat, which had to help as well." Kurt/JBL/Amy Vs Big Show/Joy = ratings?
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 How is the good news? A truly dreadful, embarassing show with little athletic compeition, predictable/embarassing angles, and both horrible (JBL, Bashams) or stale/uninteresting workers (Cena, Funaki) holding title belts gets a "good" rating? That will just keep them doing the same thing.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 1999 Raw/Heat/Smackdowns were extremely volatile shows that dared you to try and make sense of what went on from week to week, and the numbers were huge.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 The Rey/Chavo match was okay, if not marred by an annoying commercial break. Cena/Dupree was like watching two backyarders try to put a match together. SO SLOW and PLODDING. The main event stuff is getting old. Big Show gets beaten down/bloodied AGAIN... And gotta love those Bashams.
