NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2005 WOW. That is one hell of a deal for a disc that seems pretty jam packed extra features, including a DTS audio track. It is also rated NC-17, so there is probably extended gore scenes~! Oh it was just released today, btw.

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 26, 2005 It's $14.64 at DeepDiscountDVD.com, which has free shipping as always. I have no interest in it, as I've always found it to be terrible.

eiker_ir 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2005 on DVD Talk they said that the NC-17 rating that says on the box is wrong, it's the original theatrical R version.

Or the previous DVD release that has been out a few years now. I bought it at Best Buy yesterday (special edition) and did check everywhere around town and the box art on it actually said it is rated R. Believe me though, I wish it was NC-17 and if, by chance, anyone has investigated into it any further and know where they do actually sell a documented on the back box cover NC-17 version, let me know! I'm assuming Fox just went ahead and used the same cut of the film (and sound/video transfer) as the original bare bones DVD R-rated version and then just added an extra disc of special features. They did the same thing with the original Predator for that special edition from months back, which sucked because the picture was crappy as well with all of the "movie marks" (akin to how a film looks in the theatre at times) showing during parts of the movie.
