PWG Presents "All Nude Revue!" On February 12, 2005!

By Silverback, PWG Staff Writer

Kit Carson, California - At Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's (http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com) "Card Subject To Change," fans were blown away by the events that took place, most notably the retention of the PWG Championships, and the promotion of Disco Machine from the active roster to Junior Executive In Training. Fans who were at the show but don't recall being blown away are advised to consult with a licensed and bonded Dermatologist, because Windburn (caused by being Blown Away) can often go undetected, and can be fatal if untreated! Assuming that our fans can make it through the next few weeks without dying (due to Blown Away related symptoms,) they will experience one of the most anticipated rematches in PWG history, when Super Dragon defends his PWG Championship against the number 1 contender, Samoa Joe! Plus, the Aerial Express (Quicksilver & Scorpio Sky) get their second crack at Arrogance (Chris Bosh & Scott Lost) and the PWG Tag Team Titles! Plus, Disco Machine & PWG Commissioner Paul T. have some surprises in store for fans and wrestlers alike!

After watching the tape of the last show, PWG Commissioner Paul T. is happy to report that Junior Executive In Training Disco Machine did a fantastic job, not bending to the pressure put on him backstage (unwanted advances by, we'll call him J. Ryan... That's too obvious, we'll call him Joey R.) or in front of the crowd (by S.B.S. teammate Excalibur, but taking no "guff" and suspending him for one month!) Thanks to his stellar performance, Disco has been given the responsibility of putting his ear to the ground, his finger to the pulse, his pulse to the ground of the wrestling community, and find out what exactly the fans want to see, then to make it happen! So after an exhaustive market research survey, exit polling at "Card Subject To Change," and blindfolded Pin The Tail On The Donkey-style matchmaking, Disco has come up with two showcase matches for "All Nude Revue!" First up is "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen, who will be making his return to PWG, and facing a huge test, by taking on "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels! Next is Alex Shelley, who has made a name for himself in the Mid-West and the North East recently, and now hopes to make a name in PWG, battling against everyone's favorite luchador, El Generico!

As if the long awaited rematch between Samoa Joe & Super Dragon wasn't reason enough, Florida native Roderick Strong, known for his hard hitting, back breaking style, will be making his PWG debut in a slugfest against Havana native (thus, resentful of Floridians, and Americans in general) Ricky Reyes!

"All Nude Revue!" takes place on February 12, 2005 at Frank & Son Collectible Show, with a new 2:00PM Start Time, and will feature:

PWG Championship Match

Super Dragon © vs. Samoa Joe

PWG Tag Team Championship Match

With Hook Bomberry, Human Tornado, Phoenix Star, Top Gun Talwar, Tony Stradlin, and Zokre also be appearing! Plus, the in ring return of "The Future" Frankie Kazarian!

Also, for fans of sports memorabilia, or those just wanting to own a piece of PWG history can bid on a pair of "Card Subject To Change" posters autographed by the PWG Locker Room! For a closer look, and a chance to bid on them, visit the PWG Message Board.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's "All Nude Revue!" takes place at Frank & Son Collectible Show on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 2:00PM. Frank & Son Collectible Show is located at 19649 E. East Coast stand out Roderick Strong will make his West Coast debut as he faces the Havana Pitbull's own Ricky Reyes!

In Disco Machine Showcases:

International lucha and badminton sensation El Generico will meet the debuting Alex Shelley! Will the power of the brainbustaaah be enough to counteract the technical expertise of “The Next

One of the best in the game, Christopher Daniels will meet the challenge of one of wrestling's fastest rising superstars Kevin Steen!

All this and Andy Rooney tonight on 60 minutes!

Let's get to the matches! :

Ricky Reyes vs. Roderick Strong

Past History? : Met at least twice previously in tag team bouts...

Havana Pitbulls Vs. Roderick Strong/Jack Evans Vs. Carnage Crew Vs. Dan Maff/BJ Whitmer "Ring of honor: Glory by honor 3"

Havana Pitbulls Vs. Roderick Strong/Jack Evans - "Ring of Honor: Weekend of Thunder Night 1"

PWG Records: Ricky Reyes is 7-3 overall, 2-2 as a single. Strong will be making his PWG debut.

My Thoughts? : Roderick Strong out of the Florida area was one of the break out Indy stars of the past year. In 2004 he burst on the scene with a string of impressive outings in CZW, ROH, IWA:MS, JAPW. Quickly leaving his mark with his fierce hard-hitting style and notorious reputation of being the MacGyver of the backbreaker. Seemingly being able to turn any situation into a backbreaking predicament. Some of his past accomplishments include being a finalist in the 2004 CZW “Best of the best†and NWA: Florida “Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup†tournaments, being a member of ROH’s “Generation Next†and scoring huge victories over the likes of Samoa Joe, Super Dragon, B-Boy, Alex Shelley, BJ Whitmer, Homicide and others. As well as making several appearances for NWA-TNA and even having a match with Kurt Angle on the January 13, 2005 edition of WWE Smackdown! Now Strong will the first time venture in a new frontier… that of Southern California! Where the men are men, and the women are sometimes men as well! (long story…)

On the other side you have Ricky Reyes, not since the days of Teofilo Stevenson and Pedro Cerrano has there been a harder hitting Cuban athlete! While yes, still may be best known as one half of the amazing Havana Pitbulls, he's also quite the talented single worker. Last year Reyes took the wrestling and poker world by storm as he appeared in the very prestigious ECWA Super 8 Tourney, Made a huge impact in the east coast with ROH (where he currently co-holds the tag title), as well as working in IWA: MS, MLW, NJPW and not to mention having a terrific year right here in his home base of SoCal with PWG, EWF (where he currently holds the world title) and NJPW-USA. As a single he's produced some outstanding solo outings, including a brutally stiff encounter with Samoa Joe, He gave Teddy Hart a Fight Club quality ass kicking at The Inoki Dojo, an excellent U Style-esque bout with Apollo Kahn. He’s also impressed against the likes of Frankie Kazarian, Rocky Romero, Bobby Quance, PUMA, and many others. And is soon to be debuting for ZERO-ONE in Japan. So by no means overlook him as a singles wrestler because he happens to be apart of one of the best tag teams in the world right now. That would just be ludicrous… you hear me? Ludicrous!

Say speaking of ludicrous, do you think it would be out of the question to give Ricky Reyes a “Hey Ricky you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, Hey Ricky†chant? Well think of about it!

Err anyway this is a real interesting match, seeing as both can dish out the beat downs with Ike Turner like precision. And while I’ve yet to personally see their ROH tag meetings, I’ve heard that they were quite good. With two very world class talents such as these… I can only imagine we’ll see something special here. This one has all the making of a wrestling clinic, which just may end up stealing the whole show.

Watch for Strong’s many awesome variations of the backbreaker (Hmm, just imagine if Strong faced off with PWG’s own master of the backbreaker Chris Bosh! I’d imagine we’d see some backbreakers in that one!)

My Prediction?: Ricky Reyes

Disco Machine Showcase Match

El Generico vs. Alex Shelley

Last time in Guerrila Pro Guerrilla: El Generico and partner Kevin Steen came up on the losing end of a tag match against The AXP at “Uncanny X-Masâ€

Past History: This will be a first time ever meeting.

PWG Records: El Generico is 1-1, 1-0 as a single. Alex Shelley will be making his PWG debut

My Thoughts: This one should be real treat. Alex Shelley has really become a favorite of mine recently via his work in promotions such as IWA:MS, ROH and CZW. He can work the mat like a mad man and always seems to produce a worthy match up. If you’ve only seen his NWA-TNA work… don’t judge him on that. He’s capable of a lot more…

El Generico has also quickly became a favorite of mine, since he recently exploded on to the US scene this past fall. One of the more enjoyable characters in wrestling today, who can also produce in the ring and amaze you with his athleticism and cat like agility. Yes, El Generico and SoCal are a perfect fit!

Now I must say on paper, this is the… umm oddest looking match on the card let’s say. I can’t think of either man ever having a comparable opponent. Which makes this one all the more intriguing. Seems to be territory for both… so like a blind man at an orgy, they are going to have to feel their way through. Which shouldn’t be too hard a task for either man, I’ve seen Alex Shelley’s deliver in the past against a wide variety of opposition and El Generico… well I think we are just scratching the surface of what Generico’s capable of. . This one has loads of potential.. So I'll take a chance here and award this match as my not very 'prestigious' pick for the sleeper match of the night.

My Prediction: Another tough prediction… but I’ll go with Alex Shelley

Disco Machine Showcase Match

"Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs. "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen

Last time: Christopher Daniels suffered an upset defeat at the hands of Tony Stradlin at “Uncanny X-masâ€

Kevin "Kev-bo" Steen teamed with El Generico in a losing effort against the Aerial Express at "UnCanny X-mas"

Past History? : Met once before at EWR's Revolution 1.0 in Canada.

PWG Records: Christopher Daniels is 4-3 in singles matches and 5-6 overall, Kevin Steen is 0-2 overall, 0-1 in singles matches.

My Thoughts? : Ok, where to start? Well Christopher Daniels should need no introduction to anyone who may possibly ever be reading this, as he is arguably one of the best on this or possibly any other planet. From PWG, WWF, WCW, ECW, TNA, MLW, ROH, JAPW, UPW, IWA:MS, New Japan, 3PW and all points in between, he's worked everywhere and probably won everything there is to win in the world of Indy wrestling. So let’s skip it? We already know he’s great. He is somehow on a bit of a losing streak in PWG, dropping recent matches to Bobby Quance and Tony Stradlin. Will he break his cold streak here?

Kevin Steen is considered by many to be top wrestling prospect in Canada. Has been putting on some great matches lately… out only with the best Canada has to offer (including an excellent match in PWG with El Generico) as well as with well known Indy Superstars such as Steve Corino, Jerry Lynn, Roderick Strong, Austin Aries and PWG regulars Samoa Joe, Super Dragon, Excalibur and The AXP. His style is a good combination of power and speed. He possesses a deadly arsenal of impressive maneuvers, including his finisher “The package piledriver†and several incredible variations of the suplex. He's true star on the raise, most recently earning a spot on an upcoming "Zero One" tour in Japan. So don’t be surprised if you see major things from him in the future. Also on a losing streak in PWG, as he’s dropped his only two matches in the promotion thus far.

As for the match itself, while I’ve yet to see it myself from most accounts these two had quite the match last year in Canada for EWR’s promotion, that some had proclaimed as one of the years best. Although that one was fueled by one of those rapid Canadian crowds who’d probably pop for an “inanimate carbon rod†(No offense to the rod!) But EH who I am I to argue with popular opinion? I wouldn't expect anything less from these two this time around.

My Prediction? : Christopher Daniels

Now it's time for this months “obsessive loser PWG trivia questionâ€! This one's tough... In PWG's history, what two wrestlers had been officially announced as appearing in matches but to date have never ended up appearing in PWG period? (Tony Stradlin was one, after he had been set to appear on the Debut show, but never ended up appearing until “Use Your Illusion 3â€) First person to correctly answer wins… nothing. But let’s see who can get this one….

PWG Tag Team Championship Match

Arrogance (Chris Bosh & Scott Lost) © vs. Aerial Express (Quicksilver & Scorpio Sky)

Backstory: After months of PWG inactivity, at Use Your Illusion 3 The Aerial Express finally made their return and once again embarked on the long and winding road to the PWG Tag titles. And in order to earn a title shot, they had to go through the formitable team of Disco Machine and Excalibur. After a hard fought battle, the AXP were able to defeat S.B.S. after their spiking Excalibur with their feared running dropkick/piledriver combination. Earning them a title at the newly crowned PWG tag title champions, Scott Lost and Chris Bosh.

At PWG's Use Your Illusion 4. The AXP received their title match but soon ran into a little bump on the road to the titles. As after an incredible match, AXP had thought they'd won the belts. But later learned that they had in fact lost the match by way of disqualification via Babi Slymm's interference! Just great!

In order to get back in position for a tag title rematch, they had to get through the international team of Kevin Steen and El Generico at PWG's "Uncanny X-mas" and if they were unsuccessful, they would have had to split up for a peroid of six months. But after a hard fought match, Sky was able to score a pin fall victory on Kevin Steen to save the very future of the team.

The AXP’s night wasn’t over quite yet…. They took it upon themselves to interject into Scott Lost and Chris Bosh’s title defense against The Havana Pitbulls. Forcing the referee to award the match to Arrogance as a result of a disqualification. This raised the ire of the Havana Pitbulls whom the AXP had swindled out of their shot at the titles. This led to an intense pull a part brawl between the two teams. Something big (and possibly cheaply made Canadian ale) was brewing here. Both teams wanted the titles, but it was clear that in order to get to what they wanted… they first had to go through each other!

So at “Card Subject To Change†a wiser and more determined Aerial Express took on the Havana Pitbulls. The AXP wasted no time in attacking The Pitbulls, which set off a heated brawl all through the building. This was a new intense side of The Aerial Express not seen before in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. They weren’t going to let anything take advantage of them this time. This unrelenting approach proved successful for the express as they all took all the brutality the Pitbulls had to offer, but were still able to score the biggest victory of their careers and down the mighty Pitbulls. After Sky pinned Reyes using the ropes. The AXP were more focused than ever and determined to take home the gold in PWG…by any means necessary. Nothing and no one was going to stand in their way of the gold! , Not the crooked Olympic Medal Committee, Not the Pitbulls, Not Babi Slymm, Not a huge cardboard cut out of Ralph Macchio, Not that delicious and moderately priced Value Menu at Taco Bell, not anything!

With this victory the earned the right at another PWG tag title match against the team they feel they’ve already defeated, in Scott Lost and Chris Bosh.

Now at "All Nude Revue" these two teams are once again set to meet in squared circle combat. Will this new no nonsense version of the Aerial Express take their right full place as PWG Tag Title Champions? Or will the arrogant arrogant ness of Arrogance prove too arrogant to out arrogant? Can the team of Chris Bosh and Scott Lost once again escape with the titles? Or will we witness the birth of the era of The Aerial Express?

Past history?: Met at PWG's Use Your Illusion 4.

Bosh and The AXP have quite a..... LONG history, just look at some of the different combinations of AXP Vs. Bosh/partner du jour

AXP Vs. Bosh/Rising Son

AXP Vs. Bosh/Super Boy

AXP Vs. Bosh/Disco Machine

AXP Vs. Bosh/King Fuji

AXP Vs. Bosh/Super Dragon

AXP Vs. Bosh/Johnny Paradise

AXP Vs. Bosh/Babi Slymm

AXP Vs. Bosh/El Gallinero 4 (Chuck Mercury)

AXP Vs. Bosh/Hydro (Ronin)

AXP (as The Bosh Brothers) Vs. Bosh/Lil Cholo

AXP Vs. Bosh/UK Kid

Also numerous others meetings, from the now legendary Coco The Mime Vs. Justin Timbersnake Oct. 2002 C4 match, to Quicksilver Vs. Chris Bosh Rev X 2003 MOTY, Sky Vs. Bosh from APW-LA to their meetings more recently in Rev Pro, PWG and AWS. Look... I would list them all, but I don't have a freaking month to do so. Let's just agree they have some history ok?

Scott Lost and The AXP have a bit of history as well; Lost has recently toured Japan's Osaka Pro with Scorpio Sky. And had tag matches in PWG, AWS, WPW and others, as well as a singles match in APW-LA, and an excellent, first round Revolution J match, that some say stole the show and several people’s wallets including one with the words “Bad Mother fucker†on it

PWG Records: Scott Lost is 14-8 overall, Chris Bosh is 9-9, 4-0 as a duo, Quicksilver is 9-8, and Sky is 8-7, 5-2 as a duo

My Thoughts? : Scott Lost and Chris Bosh have fast become one of my favorite teams to watch. It’s amazing that a team with only four prior teamings can have the tag team continuity they have displayed. The matches they had with B-Boy/Super Dragon, Los Luchas, The Havana Pitbulls and The Aerial Express could be considered to be some of the most entertaining tag matches I’ve seen recently, not only in PWG but also in all of wrestling (not like that’s particularly hard nowadays) Bosh and Lost, have this weird chemistry in there that’s hard to explain and man does it work! Bosh in particular has really turned it up lately, and is really firing on all cylinders recently not only in the ring but with his comically changed character and often outlandish comments! Including calling the Havana Pitbulls “Dirty Mexicans†Ha ha it’s funny because you see The Pitbulls are actually of Cuban descent and are really quite clean! High comedy indeed! I <3 Chris Bosh.

I haven’t seen the DVD yet I remember the first match between these two teams at “Use Your Illusion 4†being quite the display of tag team excellence. Now with the AXP’s new “take no shit†attitude, I can see them taking this one to a whole other level. Really with the experience these guys have with each other… they could probably be asleep and still produce something memorable here. I say this is a potential show stealer…

A big question here, is will Frankie Kazarian have anything to say in this one, after what Scott Lost and Chris Bosh did to him last show?

My Prediction? : The Aerial Express captures the gold (well they would if someone hadn’t stolen the PWG belts! I blame the commies… and people from Vermont)

PWG Championship Match

Super Dragon © vs. Samoa Joe

Coping with loss: The Super Dragon Vs. Samoa Joe saga:

First let’s meet the players:

Super Dragon for several years now, has been the man in The Southern California Independent scene. Some of his many accolades include: 2 SoCal Wrestler of the year awards, 3 SoCal match of the year awards, named as the SoCal Wrestler of the month an amazing 14+ times (alot more if they ever updated that thing!) Dragon had conquered nearly every obstacle thrown in his path, from CM Punk, B-Boy, Bobby Quance, Havana Pitbulls, The Briscoe Brothers, Scorpio Sky, Colt Cabana, Excalibur, Disco Machine, M-Dogg 20, Vic Grimes, Joey Ryan, Homicide, Chris Hero, B-Boy, Babi Slymm, TARO, Mr. Excitement, Spanky, 'TV Legend" Bob Barker, Mike Quakenbush and Silver Tyger were just among some of his conquests and even in the case of a rare defeat he'd always appeared totally dominate throughout. Would anyone be able to dethrone the King of SoCal?

Samoa Joe in the last few years has made an hit the scene with all the impact of… a tempest cyclone.... a goddamn hurricane. Quickly establishing himself as the unstoppable juggernaut in the world of wrestling. Making a name for himself through out the world, defeating such names as Tommy Dreamer, CM Punk, Homicide, Chris Hero, American Dragon, Kintaro Kanemura, Roderick Strong, Doug Williams, Paul London, Christopher Daniels, Gen. Adnan, B-Boy, AJ Styles, Jay Briscoe and many others. As well as enjoying a nearly 2-year reign as Ring of honor champion, as well as making his mark in PWG. Being one of the only men in PWG to never suffer a pinfall or submission loss. In fact where ever he went recently… no won has been able to curb the monsters’ path of destruction. Could any competitor anywhere halt the island monster's reign of terror?

This led many fans to wonder, just what would happen if the two most sadistic, hardest hitting sons of a bitches on the Indy scene ever went one on one in the ring. It was an often teased and rumored dream match amongst fans everywhere.

However on August 4th 2004….. The dream became reality as PWG announced that Samoa Joe's scheduled opposition for "The Secret of the ooze" American Dragon had to cancel due to a pressing engagement in the land of the rising sun…. and the man, chosen to be his replacement was none other than SEXY CHINO… later be to changed to SUPER DRAGON himself! And all the questions would finally answered on 08.14.04 as PWG presented…. “The Secret of the oozeâ€

Early on in the bout it was clear that Super Dragon had the overwhelming crowd support. As the streamers came flying (according yours truly, throwing one that accidentally hit a photographer! Sorry…) in support of Dragon. Early on, Super Dragon attempted to go toe to toe with Samoa Joe with fleeting success, as the size and strength advantage of Joe was too much for Dragon to overcome. Leaving Dragon unable to find his offensive rhythm. Samoa Joe proceed to do what no man had ever been able to previously. He was manhandling Super Dragon! But Dragon wasn't out of the fight yet, he was able to counter several of Joe's attacks, and use his speed to his advantage by going to the air to ground the monstrous Samoan. But Joe's brute force was able to the turn the tide once again. Joe had taken SD out of his own game! Samoa Joe seemed to be toying him. Despite it all, Dragon kept fighting back against all odds. And Dragon for a short time once again looked to have things going his way. As he managed to get Joe in position for the Psycho Driver… but couldn't lift the massive Joe. Due to the vast amount of punishment he'd suffered in the contest... instead he opts to hit Joe with a back suplex... then SD ascends the turnbuckle and hits his trademark double stomp to the head of the head! But even that couldn’t stop Joe! The seemingly invulnerable Joe quickly recovers and keeps laying in the strikes, slapping Dragon in an obvious attempt to embarrass him. But with all the fight left in him, Super Dragon comes back with a rolling elbow knocking Joe into the corner.... then Dragon proceeds to unleash the violence party on Samoa Joe! Just as Dragon attempts to finish it with a lariat... Joe counters with a huge belly-to-belly suplex sending Dragon crashing hard to the floor. As Joe looked on with an evil grin, Dragon tried valiantly to fight back up to his feet before the referee's 20 count... but it proved to be all in vain as the damage was too much to surmount... and Samoa Joe was awarded the match via count out. “No mas, No masâ€

Joe beat him in perhaps the most humbling way possible. Not by just a mere pinfall, Joe completely destroyed the Dragon. Via this impressive victory, Samoa Joe had now emerged as the man to beat in PWG and the for the first time Super Dragon’s status as top dog in SoCal was put into question....

How would Super Dragon be able to look his daughter in the eye knowing he couldn't continue? (Note: Don't really think he has a daughter... that he knows of)

After the match, Joe gave an interview explaining that his number one goal in PWG was to add PWG's top prize, it’s title to his collection… and nothing else in PWG mattered to him.

So the next month at the "next show" Samoa Joe got his PWG title match against Frankie Kazarian. But before a winner could be declared.... Super Dragon interjected himself into the contest and delivered a message to Samoa Joe and that message was: "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die" after a huge altercation the match was thrown out and Joe had been declared the victor via disqualification. Super Dragon had cost Samoa Joe the one thing he wanted the most… the PWG championship.

The question had to be asked.... how would Samoa Joe extract his revenge on the man who robbed him of the PWG title? It soon became clear that the answer was that Joe was going do the most evil, cruel and sadistic thing he could ever possibly do to Super Dragon… and that was… absolutely nothing!

Joe was purely after the PWG title, he had nothing more to prove by facing Dragon again, and the worst punishment he could ever inflict on Super Dragon was never grant him his shot at retribution and let his anger continue to eat him up. A brilliant psychological scheme… and a damn tasty burger.

The mind games continued at PWG's "Use Your Illusion 3" as Dragon stuck his nose in Joe's business once more by making his presence felt in Samoa Joe's match with Joey Ryan. But Dragon's plan backfired as Joe still came out on top..... and paid little mind to Dragon's attempts to get inside his head.

Dragon then shifted gears... as he realized, that the only way he could get back in the ring with Joe… was to make Joe come to him.... and the only way to do that would be to capture the one thing Joe desired in PWG... the title! And SD soon earned his shot at the title, as his feud with Joey Ryan met it’s apex, as he defeated Ryan in a classic Iron Man match at PWG’s “Use Your Illusion 4†Then at PWG's "Free Admission (just Kidding)" Dragon received his shot at the title, and was able to defeat Frankie Kazarian in a hard fought match up to win the prize that Joe so coveted. The Ball was now in Dragon's court.

Samoa Joe finally made his way back into PWG at "Uncanny X-mas" and in the main event of that event; he settled another long time rivalry as he scored a decisive victory over American Dragon. And in the process earned himself the number one contendership for the PWG Title… held by…. Super Dragon. And with this victory, the most eagerly awaited rematch in PWG history was now set....

Now, all Dragon had to do is play the “waiting game†and maybe “Hungry Hungry Hippos†until Joe would have to come to him. But keeping the title was far from an easy task as Super Dragon had to endure the worthy challenges of Jonny Storm, Chris Bosh and an old rival of Samoa Joe’s Homicide! And even had to endure an attack at the hands... of himself? But through it all Super Dragon’s dominance shined through and he was able to hang on to the title. More focused than ever… he was now ready for another shot at Joe.

On Feb. 12th at PWG's "All Nude Revue" all the unfinished business will finally be settled, as it’s the rematch 6 months in the making. As Super Dragon's road to redemption will meet its end. He will at last receive an opportunity at vindication against the seemingly invulnerable Samoa Joe! It’s a match he MUST win… and a match cannot afford to lose (that's so cliche I know)

Both men will be fighting to achieve the one thing they most want in PWG. For Super Dragon, it’s to reclaim his honor and to erase the events of the “Secret of the ooze†forever. For Samoa Joe, it’s to further cement his nation wide dominance by capturing the PWG title.

Will Super Dragon's consuming desire for vengeance against Samoa Joe be enough to lead him at last to redemption? Or will the mighty Samoan’s mighty Samoan-ness once again humble the dragon?

After all the smoke has cleared… who will emerge the true king of PWG?

Past history: Met at PWG's "Secert of the ooze" (and Shhhh they also had a match at JAPW's Halloween Hell 2004) As well as in a 6-man tag in 2002 for MPW. SD and Joe were also tag partners and allies for a short time in EPIC Pro Wrestling.

PWG Records: Super Dragon is commanding 21-6 overall, 13-2 as a single; Samoa Joe is 8-1-1 as a single (one loss by way of DQ… yes Dairy Queen)

My Thoughts? : This is a PWG equivalent of an old school Wrestlemania main event. A huge rematch with the top star in SoCal out to reclaim his place in the pecking order by defeating the one man ever to get the better of him, the unstoppable Samoa Joe (Who I don’t think lost 10 matches total last year) Just doesn’t get any better than that in Indy wrestling....

As for the match itself, well… the 8/14/04 match has to be considered one of the top matches in PWG’s history. It had incredible atmosphere, story telling, the whole irresistible force meeting the unmovable object feel behind it. Really a great match….

This time it should be even better with the added storyline elements to play off of (for example will Dragon finally be able to lift Joe up for the Psycho Driver? and the whole count out deal) and the 6 months of building anticipation. This should really have that “big match’ feel to it. If there was ever a “can’t miss’ PWG match… I’d say it was this one.

So expect a brutal war of freaking attrition. A real potential classic here. Don’t miss it!

My Prediction?: Super Dragon retains the title. What I’d like to see happen is for Super Dragon to beat Samoa Joe so badly Joe is counted out (ala 8/14/04) Thus giving Dragon his revenge and sending the fans home happy. But still not settling the score… then they could finally blow off the feud at one of the “All Star Weekend†shows… in a last man standing type match. Just an idea…. but pay no mind to me.

But that's not all! Also set to appear:

Pro Wrestling Iron/MySpace's own Hook Bomberry! (1-6, Fun Fact: Hook hasn't had a win in PWG since the debut show!)

The red hot (and spicy) Human Tornado! (2-5)

LOS LUCHAS! Phoenix Star (1-4) and Zokre! (0-5)

Everyone's favorite recreational drug abuser: Top Gun Talwar! (5-9) (As mentioned in Jose Canseco’s new book!)

Straight off two huge victories (one more and it’s a winning streak!) Tony Stradlin! (2-3)

And the in ring return of former two time PWG champion "The Future" Frankie Kazarian! (15-5-1) Who better be careful as he has a Nascar driver to face the next day on PPV!

Final Thoughts: Wow, PWG continues it’s hot streak with yet ANOTHER amazing looking show! And I must say as long as I’ve been writing these previews this has to be the most difficult PWG show I’ve had to predict. Literally every match could go either way. We’re in for something amazing here…

So yeah attend this freaking show! Hey why not? Yeah yeah I know, you can tell me any story that comes into your head, just so long as at the end of that story you hand PWG some money! Really… should be great stuff, Samoa Joe Vs. Super Dragon alone is worth the price of admission… so wake up early make your way down to Franks and Sons on the 12th! And if someone asks you where you are going… tell em’ it’s an ALL NUDE REVUE BABY!

Also remember, boys and ghouls that PRESIDENT’S DAY is right around the corner! And what’s the perfect gift for that special President in your life? Why PWG DVDs of course! Available at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com/merch/ Including the new released "Use your illusion 4" which features what I consider to be the greatest match in PWG's history, as Super Dragon and Joey Ryan put their rivalry to rest in a 60 minute Iron Man Match! PLUS The debut of 6 of the best from CHIKARA! Kazarian defends the title against the challenge of Ricky Reyes! The Aerial Express get their first shot at Scott Lost and Chris Bosh and MORE.... so buy some won't you? Please? I'll be your friend! =)

Also remember to buy one of PWG’s many stylishly t-shirts! Trust me playas they attract ALL the chickenheads! When you wear PWG brand clothing… sucka you’d need ho repellant just to keep the bitches off yo ass!

Ok… umm I’d like to take this time to announce that this will the last full preview for a while… as I’m pretty burned out lately. Hopefully I’ll still do write-ups for the major PWG feuds and whatnot… but I think these full previews will be put on hiatus for a while. I never realized how freaking long these things are! Anyway, I can only hope you’ve enjoyed reading them half as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them!

A super big thanks goes out to everyone involved in PWG for producing such an outstanding product month after month and providing us with the best entertainment possible. In this day and age it seems like anyone with a pipedream, 40 dollars and a hell of a nice watch can start up a “super fed†but it takes that special intangible to actually make it work… and PWG is the rare promotion with just those qualities. So I thank them! We in SoCal are truly in your debt (but good luck getting us deadbeats to pay up!)

Also thanks go out to http://www.socaluncensored.com/ and http://www.paradisecityninjas.bravehost.com for posting these things every now and then as well.

Well guess that’s it… thank you for reading. If you’d like, leave feedback, comments or maybe your own thoughts on the upcoming card, right here or e-mail them to [email protected] (remove the xs) and if not… that’s cool… I can read your minds anyway! I know what you sick bastards are thinking… and for god’s sake get some professional help now!

Until next time this is Paul Newberry saying, "Please remember to have your pets spayed or neutered"

As always PsychoDriver, I really like your preview. You always do a great job hyping the card and getting over the matches.

Joe/Super Dragon II should be great. I really wish they would get these shows out faster.
