Dandy 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2005 Well, JBL would be addressing Batista because he won the Royal Rumble and has the right to face the SD Champ at Mania. JBL did what heels do and that is talk shit about possible contenders. I think it's obvious that HHH had the JBL promo played because he doesn't really want to face Batista. He knew it would make Batista mad that JBL was talking shit, and made it seem like he (HHH) wanted nothing more than to face Batista 1 on 1 at Mania. But in all actuality, he would rather lose Batista to SD because he knows he lost control of the man and figures there is no way he can keep the title if he goes up against Batista. I'm surprised no one talked about Batista getting himself DQ'ed on purpose last night and smirking about it while going up the ramp. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

That little subtle smirk as he went up the ramp is exactly the kind of thing that's going to keep him over after he wins the title. I think he'll be a much better all-around champion than Benoit or Guerrero, and will be a breath of fresh air after Trips' reign. When Orton won the title, I just felt kind of intrigued with the idea, like this is an interesting idea, let's see where they go with it. With Batista's pending reign, I'm actually excited for it.
