The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Just in general throughout wrestling, who has had the most failed pushes? The only person I can really think of right now is Billy Gunn.

Guest The Mandingo Warrior Report post Posted February 18, 2005 brutus "The Barber, Disciple, man with no name" beefcake?
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 I don't know that it's entirely fair to include Beefcake when you consider his boating accident.
strummer 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 yep, I was going to say Beefcake also, WWF tried like hell to make him a main eventer in 89/90 by having him hang around Hogan and man handle midcard heels. If he hadn't gotten hurt, he would have had a shot on top. Who knows how long he would have got to fail?

The Buzz 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Was Buff Bagwell ever as over as he should be for all the pushes he got? Lex Luger?
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted February 18, 2005 No he wasn't. Something Flair loved to point out to stick it to the office by throwing his name onto the "legends" promos that he often cut by randomly throwing Bagwell's name with funk, race, steamboat, sting, luger, rhodes... At least im pretty that was the intention. I doubt he was trying to put him over.
Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Billy Gunn Ed Leslie Bradshaw (It's scary that he's been in the WWE since '96, he was Justin Hawk Bradhsaw, Blackjack Bradshaw, an Acolyte, APA member, JBL...) Hardcore Holly - (With the exception of Taker, he's been in the WWE the longest, Spark Plug, JOB Squad member, Bombastic Bob, Hardcore Holly)
Guest Hass of Pain Report post Posted February 18, 2005 I don't think Test is a fair answer at all, he was always kind of a victim of circumstance. He was getting over pretty big as a face before HHH buried him, and then he was getting over pretty well as a heel in his last run before WWE decided to can him while he was injured. I would say The British Bulldog got a ton of pushes over a decade and he was never that over unless he was teaming with someone popular or that much of a draw outside of England either. Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Hardcore Holly - (With the exception of Taker, he's been in the WWE the longest, Spark Plug, JOB Squad member, Bombastic Bob, Hardcore Holly) You forgot his best character, and the only one that really had a shot of getting over, THE BIG SHOT! That shit was awesome, it's unfortunate that he got hurt in the middle of the push.
Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 I didn't include that because that and his Superheavyweight stint was all part of his run as Hardcore Holly.
