Favorite Arn Anderson Tag Team?

Recommended Posts

Guest Hass of Pain

Listening to HHH talk last night about what would have happened if Arn Anderson had gone to WWE and won the World Title was cool. It would never have happened, but it's cool to still hear guys like HHH who appreciate the history of wrestling acknowledging Anderson as the legend that he is.

Aside from being a great singles wrestler and taking part in some memorable fueds with Nikita Koloff and Lex Luger, you make a case for him (And Bobby Eaton as well) being arguably the greatest tag team wrestler ever.

So, what would you call your favorite Arn Anderson tag team, excluding the Brain Busters because landslides are no fun? Arn has team with pretty much everyone, but his most notable runs were:

Matt Borne (looking uncannily like Eugene) and Arn Anderson

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew

The Enforcers

I went with the Enforcers. They were such an underrated tag team that don't get many mentions anymore, but when they were at their prime (especially in the match where Ricky Steamboat made his return) they were one of the best teams of the 90's and Larry Zbyszko in particular never gets his dues as being one of the best all around performers of his time. The Wrecking Crew and his team with Eaton were great, but I have to go with the Enforcers.

What would everyone else say?

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew. Just a badass team and along with the Horsemen, were a boon for the wrestling business.

Arn/Ole or Arn/Zbysko on thestrength of matches I've seen with the Steiners for both....

I was always a fan of the Arn/Pillman team just prior to the reformation of the Horsemen, circa 1995, just when I was starting to watch WCW.

I'd have to go with Arn and Eaton...I thought they gelled really well. The Enforcers were a good team, but Eaton definitely trumps Larry Z. as a worker.

Top choice is easily Ole & Arn, the MWC. Second choice is Eaton & Anderson.

Both teams just complemented each other so well, and worked so well together.

I'd have to go with the Enforcers as well. Larry Zbyszko doesn't often get the credit he deserves.

Maybe if he quit giving himself all the credit he deserves and more all the time, others would have time to give him his props.

I personally liked Arn and Pillman as well.

I also liked when Arn and Flair teamed back in 93, before the Enforcers.

I think Arn was at his best when teaming within the Horseman, with or without his "designated" partenr.

I'm waitung for someone to say Arn & Roma. Even though it's painfully obvious Roma CARRIED that team.

Id go with Arn/Eaton though the Larry/arn team was way underrated. Then again Im a huge mark for the dangerous alliance angle (prob because i had just got into WCW at the point a year after discovering wrestling by watching the wwf)
