As some of you might know, (And then again, some might not), the Discovery channel is doing some Greatest American show, so I thought it'd be interesting to see who the TSMers consider to be great. I'm not going to limit this to a single country, however, as that would totally suck. So, basically, list who you think is awesome in your home country (And I suppose home city, if you feel like it).

 

American:

Norman Borlaug - Nothing major, just happened to save roughly a billion people from starvation across the world.

 

Texas:

Stevie Ray Vaughan, I guess. I've heard stories that he was pretty decent on guitar.

 

El Paso - Whoever ends up murdering Crono T with a blunt object.

 

Mississippi:

Robert Johnson. Another one of those guys who's supposed to be good on guitar.

 

Hattiesburg - Fuck...Afroman.

 

I'd do one for Alabama/Auburn, but I've only just recently moved here. Bo Jackson, I guess...

I'm backing David Attenborough for the Brits. Commissioned shows like Monty Python's Flying Circus, and has also spent the last 50 years educating anyone who will watch about the beauty of the natural world and the importance of it to us.
