NCAA Basketball Tournament Thread

Recommended Posts

I'm not really reacting. I figured they would find a way to screw it up in basketball. They ALWAYS do.

I'm more angry over my bracket. It's already torn to shit but if OU loses I lose an Elite 8 team. Damn glad I didn't play money or I'd be broke.

Yay Gonzaga lost. Boo that means I'll have to avoid the local news for a few days. At least this should shut up the whining around here about UW getting a higher seed then Gonzaga.

They think Zaga deserved it over UW?

Of course, the Gonzaga bandwagon is crazy here. I don't know if anyone honestly thought that Gonzaga deserved a #1 seed, but they all think Gonzaga should have had a better seed then Washington. The only reasoning I've heard on the issue is 'Gonzaga beat Washington this year, so they should have gotten the higher seed!'

Man if OU could shoot for shit they'd be running away with this game.

If OU can figure out how to shoot and Utah can't figure out how to protect the b-ball then OU will win.

I should of trusted my instincts and stayed with Texas Tech. Gonzaga's shown with any expecatations they haven't been able to get the job done in the tournament.

That gives Utah rest as well.

Good news is I had Utah winning in my money bracket.

I really hope we see Washington and Wake Forest in the Elite 8. That would be a hellafun game to watch.

Today's off to a really bad start for me. I had both Gonzaga and Oklahoma in the Elite 8, and then since I had Pitt in the UW/Pacific game, I put $10 on Pacific to have a rooting interest there.

Well, every single one of those went wrong for me. Hopefully, at least Boston College will win and cover, because I put the last $30 in my gambling account on them, and they're one of the few Sweet 16 teams I have left that wasn't picked by everyone else in the country.

After watching the offensive explosion that was the UW/Pacific game, this Utah/OK game is like watching paint dry.

*yawn* I knew that OU would choke it. They always do in b-ball. Just didn't know they would choke this early.

I'm not mad they're losing. I'm just frustrated they keep committing dumbass fouls. Morons.

Besides we're young. Next year is the year that we at least go to the Sweet 16. I think with everyone graduating players everywhere else in the Big XII then OU can run away with the conference.

Oh well. With my team out of the tourney now I can sit back and enjoy the rest of the tourney.

Call me crazy but I think Mississippi State might pull off the upset. They are finally at full strength.

I wouldn't be suprised. Miss. St.'s underachieved all season, and certainly is talented enough to beat Duke.

With Syracuse out and if Duke were to go out....then who would come from that region for the Final Four? Kentucky?

Cincinnati.

hopeful wishing.

Actually, if Duke were to lose to Mississippi State, I'd say that Vermont would have a legit shot. They're not losing of course, but IF they did, UVM would be in good shape.

The whole Duke bracket was hard to pick. I just *can't* see Duke getting to the final four, but there is no other team that looks strong enough to get to the final four, especially now Cuse is out.

UWM is about to knock off BC, meaning we will have at least one 12 seed or lower in the Sweet Sixteen.

Make it official, UW-Milwaukee has defeated BC 83-75. So much for Boston College "playing to earn respect".
