Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted March 20, 2005 After watching Hogan vs Inoki I started to think about matches with the truly big feel. Often when we discuss wrestling matches we talk about the best matches we've seen but not the truly biggest matches. For example, if we did we would surely be talking about Hogan vs Inoki more often. Instead it's Wrester A vs Wrestler B great match of the week, So I thought it'd be a good idea to write down what matches gave you the sense that you are watch something big. So big and special that the atmosphere just can not be replicated. Not necisarily your favourite or best matches. Just matches that are bigger than life. Here are some matches where I thought I was watching something truly special. Hogan vs Inoki 6/14/84 (Only match I've seen of the two) Warrior vs Savage Retirement Match Kobashi vs Misawa 03 Dynamite Kid vs Tiger Mask 4/83 Hogan vs Flair Bash at the Beach 94 Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior Wrestlemania VI Benoit vs Sasuke J Cup Hogan vs Andre the Giant Wrestlemania III

Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Steve Austin vs. The Rock - Wrestlemania X7 Watching that match, and the excellent video package that hyped it up beforehand, generated the aura that I wasn't just watching a Wrestlemania main event, but that I was watching something special that went beyond a wrestling contest. That kind of aura and feeling is something that very few matches have ever done, and it's something that WWE haven't come close to since.
