UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 I just showed these matches to some people who like wrestling but havent really caught any TNA. These are currently available "On Demand"... - TNA 20-Man X-Division Royal Rumble - Victory Road. Personally I give this about *** 1/2. Really, really good battle royal, with just a few points of boring punching. WAY too man enzugiris (at least 10) and Garza needs to cut down the "slap the leg" when delivering EVERY SINGLE KICK. They enjoyed it. - Jeff Hardy Vs. Monty Brown - Impact I think this was a tournament final. Raven and Abyss interfere. Hardy wins via sloppy 2nd Twist of Fate. Hardy looked like the shits as usual, but at least hit most of his offensive okay. Brown was decent. We fast forwarded most of this, but looked about * 1/2 or so. - TNA World Tag Titles: Team Canada (Roode, Young) Vs. AMW The last 10 or so minutes of this is AWESOME. Lots of great flase finishes. This feels like an old 1991-1993 WCW tag title match, with the evil dick champions being IMPOSSIBLE to defeat, and when they are, it really means something. I HATE the last spot, with Devine's stupid chairshot being the final blow after they hit each other with 5,000 finishers. Oh well. Can't rate til I see it all. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted March 22, 2005 The 20 man is ok mostly for LA Park's involvement. AMW/Team Canada is good. Gouge your eyes out instead of watching Brown/Hardy.
Styles 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 Team Canada vs. AMW is excellent and should be eaten up by any wrestling fan especially those who only watch WWE and are starved for good tag team action. You didn't specify which match this was but if it was the one from Final Resolution, I gave it ****1/2 and it's one of the best non gimmick matches in TNA history. The second one I thought said Monty Brown vs. Jarrett which is one of the most memorable iMPACT! matches ever, but I honestly don't remember this one too well. With the clash of styles and iMPACT! time limits I can't see it being too good. I really liked the 20 man battle royal. One of the few saving graces of an otherwise lacluster Victory Road PPV. Hector Garza is great in this. Lots of fun guest appearences like LA Park and Spanky. I had it ***1/2 Yeah, those Comcast on Demand freebies are great. They used to have new ones from the old Weekly PPVs which was great so you could catch the biggest matches again in high quality for free. Hopefully Comcast gets on the ball and adds WWE 24/7 though.
