spman 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 I have a file that's in WMV format that I ned to show to a friend who doesn't have a computer. The obvious solution is to somehow get the file to play on a DVD so he can run it in a standard DVD Player. Now I know most DVD Players won't play WMV files, so can someone tell me exactly what I can do to convert this to a format that will run, and then burn it to a DVD-R that'll run on a stand alone DVD Player? LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2005 I have the same question, so I'm going to bump this thread with the hope that somebody can give some advice. I got a lot of CDs full of WMV, AVI, and MP(E)G files that I'd like to be able to play on my DVD player, but it never works.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2005 First, you need a DVD burner and not just a regular CD burner. Second, there IS a program that does it, my friend uses it to rip DVDs, but I don't have the name off-hand. My guess is, if you had a DVD burner it would be bundled with it.... Vanhalen 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 Plus you need a decent DVD player(any normal one should play mpeg, I cant see what the problem you have there is with the mpeg files)
Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 http://www.soft32.com/download-WinAVI_Vide...er-25514-5.html You can turn any video format to another. You can change them directly to DVD format and burn from the program if you want. The program COST some money, but use of a simple search engine will remedy that. It is version 6.3 by the way. That is all the help I am giving.
