NEW Legend of Zelda info......ALL TRUE!

I'm REALLY curious to see how they work the tunic in.  That could, in part, make or break the game.

How so?

I think sarcasm was implied.

 

The tunic is of course in--I've seen it in screen shots and concept art. However, it appears to have iron mail underneath it.

 

I expect the game to have multiple tunics with different properties, like OOT. Perhaps more variety.

 

The "sub-aquatic world" part, to me, screams the return of the Zoras as allies. Likely they'll bring back Ruto too.

 

Well, maybe not, but there's so much unrealized potential in OOT for underwater areas.

I thought in windwaker they had said the Zora all for some strange reason, in a world of water, evolved into the birdmen. Just like how the Kokiri became the koraks. In game it was said that the new sages were of the same "bloodline"(s) as the old. Bad transalation?

Zelda continuity jumps around. Wind Waker hints as the previous games, but if we look at Zelda 1, 2, and Lttp as one Link, we have to look at OOT / MM Link as another. It's hard to place Link's Awakening, the Oracles games, and Minish Cap.

 

The new GC Zelda seems that, timeline wise, it would still be a lot closer to the OOT/MM timeline than it would WW. It may even explain how the world of Wind Waker came to be.

 

However, Wind Waker made it clear that there are multiple Links, and the story arcs do tie together somewhat.

An interview with one of the two big guys(not shiggy) said this Zelda isn't a direct windwaker sequal, but takes place after it. Make of it what you will.

Hm, well, I'd like to see that confirmed somewhere, but I'd think with all the land around that it wouldn't be.

 

And even those the WW sages are descended from the old, Laruto isn't the water sage, but rather of Wind.

 

They can and will add/drop sages as they feel necessary.

 

But yeah, WW ties together with the OOT/MM continuity--found this an interesting read:

The game has been confirmed to be the next chronological game, after TWW.

Aonuma, who was the level designer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and directed the follow-up Majora's Mask, is currently overseeing the new GameCube Legend of Zelda. "I'm two-hundred percent involved in its development," he told the publication.

Shigeru Miyamoto's right-hand man was slim on details about the game. "The next episode in the Zelda series for GameCube is already coming, but I can't say absolutely anything about it," he explained. "You know the deal -- even the title and theme are still secret."

 

However, he did confirm two never-before-known facts about the project. "The next grand Zelda game, which follows chronologically after the Wind Waker, will be released at the end of 2005 in Japan," Aonuma revealed. The late 2005 release date in Japan would indicate that a simultaneous launch in the US could be planned.

 

Quizzed for more specifics on the game, Aonuma held firm, but did say: "I can reveal one lone secret: it'll be very, very beautiful."

Yeah, just saw that myself. Well, be interesting to see how they do it--whether there'll be entirely new sage designations, if some OOT sage roles return, and if they use descendants or not.
