Yes, I'm dragging this back from the depths.

 

The show is syndicated where I live and I just saw the episode where the original Slayer is trying to kill the crew through their dreams. I must say this: that was one weird ass episode. Seeing Spike and Giles on the swings had me laughing for 5 minutes straight.

Ah yes, the "Restless" episode. A bunch of foreshadowing in that.

 

The swings part is indeed great. I also always get a kick out of the bit when Buffy, Giles, and Olivia are at that fair and Buffy wants to play a game where you throw a ball at a dummy vamp. "I am a vampire" just makes me laugh for some reason.

That's one of the best musical episodes of a show I've ever seen, and one of the best episodes of Buffy to boot. I'm glad somebody bumped this thread since I just kinda came to this board. "Once More, With Feeling" sucking? Have you listened to "Drawn to the Fire"?

 

My favorite seasons are 2 and 3, and then really everything else. I just watched "School Hard" and "Halloween" yesterday, and evil Spike rules. When he's walking down the street in Halloween. "This is just....neat." Classic.

 

I was wondering, what are all of your favorite songs from the musical? My favs are "Drawn to the Fire", "Rest in Peace", "Standing in the Way" and "Going through the Motions." "I've Got a Theory" would be up there if not for the stupid bunny part. I didn't really find that funny.

 

It's good to see there are other buffy maniacs out there. Woo hoo!

If my UPN affiliate is telling the truth, they're going to show the Dracula episode this Tuesday. I know most of you guys don't like it, but I want to see it just for the sheer fact that it's DRACULA!

A friend mentioned in passing that Luke Perry was coming to the final season to reprise his role as Pike from the original movie. Is this true? I haven't researched or anything - basically because this friend never watches Buffy and was probably just trying to tease me.

 

But it would be interesting if it were true.. anyone?

From the looks of it, there has to be a flash back show, so yeah, he might be there. So far, the Master, Warren, and Glory will be there. PLUS Eliza Dushku might be back for the Faith role and Seth might drop in too. You got to love the final seasons of shows...they go out with bangs.

I was wondering, what are all of your favorite songs from the musical?  My favs are "Drawn to the Fire", "Rest in Peace", "Standing in the Way" and "Going through the Motions."

"Going Through The Motions" and "Walk Through The Fire" are my favorites. I also love the part in "Wish I Could Stay" when Tara and Giles start singing together. All of the songs ruled.

 

I mark big time for the opening credits and the overture as well. Great work by Chris Beck (as expected). He definitely deserves the Emmy for musical direction.

.....I just finished watching last season's finale and I'm PUMPED for Season 7. So...BUMP.
