Observer tidbits for this week

Recommended Posts

Nothing too big, but here ya go:

Lisa Copeland said both Adam and Amy had heat they had oppurtunities to tell the truth but they still lied. Adam apparrently told Laurinatis, that it was his own business, and no one else's. He also named names of other wrestlers who were sleeping around on their wives. This may tie in with Rhyno, because Rhyno said in Puerto Rico his own release is tied in with the Lita/Adam/Hardy thing.

On the Cauliflower alley club thing in Vegas, Bruce Hart did a 40 minutes speech on his Father's last words and Ripping on Vince. Paul Jones also did a anti-Vince speech, he called Vince a cunt. Adrian Street and Miss Linda were married at the at this event. Mil Mascaras was told he had to remove his mask if he wanted to walk around the casino. A few months ago at a different casino El Hijo Del Santo was told the same thing.

Nicho was told be the WWE he could be starting any week now, that's why he pulled out of his Mexico bookings.

Sabu said at his benefit shows in Tokyo that he'll do the 6/10 show in Philly, but nobody in the WWE has contacted him yet about the other one on 6/12. He and Heyman still have heat from when he refused to job for Super Crazy. But Dave said they do want him. They also told Shane Douglas he couldn't use the ECW name in any way.

WWE has no interest in Samoa Joe.

Morale is up because the wrestlers got a hugh payday because the success of the Raw vs Smackdown video game they got a payday of between $35,000 to $90,000. Between that and the mercandising money some got a six figure paycheck.

He talks about the Heartbreakers, Shawn Michaels wouldn't let them use the Heartbreakers name.

There were 2 incidents over mania weekend. Lance Storm was teaching the OVW guys how to behave in the locker room. How to get along, not look stuck up, respectful, stuff like that. And talked about the reputations of Bob Holly and JBL. And how there was no room for this kind of behavior in 2005 wrestling. Word got back to Holly and JBL, who were not happy about this. But Storm was just trying to teach them how to avoid problems of this type.

2nd incident: Johnny Jeter was hanging around backstage with the Bashams, who he's friends with. They asked how's like in OVW. He said it sucks. He doesn't like being in a tag team with Matt Copatelli and he didn't think it was good for him to be considered a tag team wrestler. Word got back to JBL who grew up a fan of the Rock N Roll Express and the Midnight Express and team like this. He was pissed and ordered some minor hazing of Jeter. Jeter told Storm, and Storm said that stuff is stupid and don't listen to JBL. At mania weekend, JBL and Holly saw Storm and JBL told him off. JBL challenged Storm, but Storm just ignored it and left. So the story is Storm was professional and JBL unprofessonal, but since JBL is the bigger star, the word was Storm backed away from a fight.

On a CNN interview Vince said the keys to leaving Spike were the Telemundo deal and the NBC specials.

Rico Constatino and Adrian Street met at the Cauliflower Alley Club, talked about using Adrian old gimmic, and having so much in common, both getting into wrestling rather late in life, the gimmick. Rico quit All Japan when some wrestler there started shooting on him, but Dave didn't know who, (Anyone here know?). He was half of the Asian Tag Champs at the time. Rico is now retired from Wrestling and working as a full time fireman in Vegas.

What remains of Wildside will be taken over by Rick Michaels and Thomas Simpson who ran Omega. The idea is to turn Wildside into Omega with Hardy since Wildside has TV.

Guest Hass of Pain

I'm pretty sure the Bruce Hart/Paul Jones things happened at last year's Cauliflower Alley event.

Plus, whoever wrote this implied that WWE has no interest in Samoa Joe. The way the story actually appeared in the Observer was that Samoa Joe is down on wrestling right now because after a year of tearing up the Indies like few have in years, he's still got depushed in ROH and feels as though WWE doesn't have much interest in him. Anyway, I just thought I'd clarify, it wasn't a matter of WWE saying "We have no interest in Samoa Joe", it was more Dave explaining how Joe was feeling.
