Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 I recently dowloaded a torrent file, supposedly of a film, and what I've got from it is a .bin file. As far as I can tell it's some sort of executable file, a type of archive I would assume, but I have no fucking clue how to extract from it or what program to use. I'm on Windows XP, any help would be greatly appreciated
Dimensions 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 That's what we call an image file. To view its content get a Program like WinISO or WinRAR. However, I recommend you use Daemon Tools, create a virtual drive and mount the .cue file that should've come with it.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Ok, I downloaded Daemon Tools, created the virtual drive and mounted the .cue file, and it opens a window, browsing the files of the virtual drive I created. It contains a couple folders, and I've isolated the movie file (judging by the size), which is a .dat file, but I'm still unable to play it. Am I doing something wrong, or just missing the next step? Dimensions 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Are you trying to run a VCD? Do you have a DVD player program? WinDVD? PowerDVD? Anything? If so, try to play it in there. :-)
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 HAHAHA, YES! I figured out how to do it literally seconds before you posted that. Thanks for the help!
