Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 It's started out today, but none of my CD's wants to work in my computer. No games, CD's or ever blank CD's. The CPU does not want to read my machine, and says that there is no disc in the CD tray, but there is obviously one there. Anyone know what my problem could be? Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 It said that the drive is working fine, but when I go into the troubleshooting program, I got lost. It kept talking about SCSI and stuff like that.
Insane Bump Machine 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 turn off the computer and plug it out, open the tower/desktop and double-check if all the cables going in and out of your CD drive are properly attached. Make sure that you don't plug out any other cables while doing that. Turn your PC back on and try again.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Nope. I checked out on some other forum, that people having the same CD-ROM Drive (Sony CD-RW CRX215E5) that their CD-tray stopped working for no apparent reason.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2005 My CD drive intermittently refuses to read things too. It sounds like it's struggling to read the disc and gives up. Then it'll work again later. What's the deal?
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2005 If its a SONY CRX215E5 CD-RW drive, then most likely the thing is going to give out on you.
