Anyone watch the Mirror Universe episodes...

Recommended Posts

I haven't watched Enterprise since the first season, but a friend convinced me to download the Mirror Universe eps. They are completely and totally worth downloading. They changed around the opening credits, tied up a loose end from the Original series, and made the show completely awesome (for these two episodes, at least). A Star Trek series based entirely on sex, violence, and xenophobia is brilliant. And that ending!

Hoshi becomes Empress? Shut the fuck up. So awesome.

Download the eps off of your favorite illegal download site, now. Good stuff.

Hoshi can be empress of my pants.

I only caught part 2 this weekend. Okay stuff, but it didn't make sense for the crew of the Defiant to back Hoshi after she assasinate Archer, but she did have Mayweather's backing.

I went back and watched "Mirror, Mirror" after I saw it. Now THAT'S a great Star Trek episode.

I thought it made sense. Basically, the crew will follow whoever has the power and backing to take control. Archer took over Enterprise from Forrest in the first episode, and most of the crew went with it (with the exception of T'pol). Then Forrest took the ship back, and everyone went along with him. Hell, Archer offed an Admiral and demanded the unconditonal surrender of Starfleet, and even then only some of the crew rebelled.

Plus Mayweather was the power behind Archer, without Mayweather Archer's first coup would have failed. His backing seemed to be fairly significant.

All the Mirror Universe eps seem to be pretty good. The DS9 ones were always pretty inspired. Even the non-continuity TNG novel was pretty decent, and I really can't say that about most of the Trek novels...

There were a couple of DS9 Mirror universe shows that were stinkers, though.

If you're thinking about the plots centering around Sisko's wife, I agree with you. I think Sisko got to bag Jadzia in one of those though, so it's not all bad there.

You're probably thinking of the season 7 one as well, with Evil Lesbian Ezri. On the whole though, much better than any episode of Voyager, so no biggie.

These episodes were wonderful. (They made a few mistakes on the Connie... It had red shift lasers, but it was perfect nevertheless)

Most of season three and all of season 4 so far are mad crazy beautful...

Interesting note about the Mirror Universe that I read about on TV Tome.

Whereas the Enterprise is the ship that makes the big changes in the universe (whether it's NX-01, NCC-1701, NCC-1701-A, Enterprise D, or Enterprise E)...in the Mirror Universe it's Defiant.

In the 22nd Mirror Century, Defiant was what ended the rebellion and caused the complete control of the Terran Empire.

And 200 years later, the Defiant was what caused the Terrans to get an edge over the Klingon/Cardassian alliance.

Watching part 1 right now. I'm enjoying slutty Hoshi and slave girl T'Pol...

Also, is it me, or does Mayweather look like Lamar Latrell?
