Guest jm29195 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 For some reason every so often I have problems accessing sites- the page that appears is the standard one that appears saying about the page being down and to check my browser settings but the pages that I'm trying to access (Wanadoo.co.uk and UKFF.com) are certainly not down... I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this and if there is anything I can do about it rather than wait for it to go away as it has done so in the past after 3-4 weeks? It turns out I needed to reset the settings on my wiresless router, I'm not sure why but this allowed me to access the 2 websites I couldn't get before.... not sure why it was doing this though? UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2005 I think I'm having a similar problem to you.. like sometimes it won't let me get on sites (for instance, I won't be able to go on yahoo, but then if I try 5 minutes later it will let me on). Guest jm29195 Report post Posted May 21, 2005 You go on your browser and for the address type in the same series of numbers that allowed you to configure your router when you first got it , something like 11.2.33.20.68 for me, then go into the settings screen which may or may not be password protected and in the botttom left hand corner of the screen there's an option at the top of a list saying 'reset router'- don't confuse it with the one saying 'restore factory settings' as this will you require to totally reconfigure your router from scratch- resetting the router just brings it back to optimum settings as fas as I know, because all the configs you've got are saved when you reset it.
