Guest JMA Report post Posted May 22, 2005 Does anyone else love this show? In my view, it's the coolest anime to appear on Adult Swim since Cowboy Bebop; that's not surprising, since Shinichiro Watanabe is the director of both shows. Besides the fantastic action and humor, I also love the music used in the show. It's not something that you would expect to hear on a show about samurai. AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 A friend lended me the first DVD, and I enjoyed it a lot. When's Adult Swim showing it (date/time)? I've missed AS quite a bit since they put Harvey Birdman eps on at midnight.

Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 Yeah, it's pretty good, but I could've done without Steven Blum as Mugen. He's good, of course, but he just pops up in everything and especially in his lead roles, there isn't much distinction between each. Though there does seem to be slightly more gruffness with Mugen than Spike or Roger Smith. Anyway, I thought tonight's episode was slightly hokey, but due in no small part to Bebop's overexposure, Champloo could easily overtake it for me if it keeps going strong. By the way, the updated Saturday Adult Swim schedule in Mountain, starting next week with two debuts and new Inuyasha episodes. Anime finally managed to take Saturday back. Inuyasha - 12:00 Samurai Champloo - 12:30 Paranoia Agent - 1:00 s-CRY-ed - 1:30 FLCL - 2:00 Trigun - 2:30 Lupin - 6:00 Case Closed - 6:
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 Darn, missed last night's ep then. But since it's just the first one, I already saw it. Thankfully Wendee Lee just has a bit role, although I've heard her do different voices from her usual (Faye).

Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 I love this show. It's the second best show to come out this year ("Robot Chicken" being first) and it has everything I could ask for. Mugen is the best character in an anime ever.

Does anyone know why Steven Blum and Wendee Lee tend to work together so much (not that I'm complaining)?
