WWF/WCW are/were conglomorates at the time of the Monday Night Wars so they could afford having a fully fledged Back Office Any fledgling indy or indy that wants to step up to the big boys (or big boy now) just can't afford setting up shop in a town with an in house (or even independant contractors) staff of behind the scenes guys.
