Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2005 So how did you guys think the HHH-HBK SummerSlam match was? The "not a sanctioned match" one? It was okay, but both guys have had much better brawls. If you look at Shawn's matches with Undertaker or Trip's matches with Foley, the Summerslam match just doesn't come close. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't particularly good either. It was just sort of there, and I've mostly forgotten it by this point.
WrestlingFan4Ever 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2005 I personally loved the match. I was there in person and to see my idol wrestle again was something that I'm forever thankful for. Considering it was Shawn's return match, it more than met my expectations.

King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2005 (edited) It was HBK vs. HHH. At the time, it was new. EDIT: To LotC, of course. If HBK is out for 8 months or so like HTQ mentioned, the obvious answer is for them to just write Michaels out for a while. Like they did in 96/97. Maybe the odd special appearance, maybe not. All leading to HBK being a surprise appearance in the Rumble, seeing as it's 'his match' (now that Hunter's stole HIAC and Angle's more IronMan...Ladder Match is argueable, with E&C and the way Mania was booked). HBK comes in, does the retro stuff, sends a few low standing heels out, becomes a scalp for whoever the 'big thing' is. Then, if he's in condition to continue wrestling, bring him back. As long as he can work the matches he's been working in past months, he'll always be an asset. Edited May 25, 2005 by King Cucaracha
WrestlingFan4Ever 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2005 Well noone has confirmed that he will be out for 8 months. HTQ just said that knee injuries and subsequent surgeries can take UP TO 8 months to heal. We don't even know the severity of his injury and how long he will be out for.
