AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2005 I saw it mentioned on another board. Apparently they ran out of online stock, but if you get it in store there's a coupon in their circular: http://forums.slickdeals.net/attachment.ph...tachmentid=6860 ...for a $20 voucher. BUTT 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2005 I like the "BEST SELLER" symbol on the cover of the Paper Mario box.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2005 I rented it with one of my free rentals at Blockbuster and played the hell out of it. Pretty good game for the equivalent of FREE since its ringing up at most stores for $19.99.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2005 I liked the first one a lot, even if Super Mario RPG was better (I don't like the 2nd-rate feel of the extra party members). ...however, we all know it's merely a 6/10 game, because of the difficulty (according to Game Informer). Matt Young 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2005 I like the "BEST SELLER" symbol on the cover of the Paper Mario box. Yeah, what is the deal with that? Mine has that logo, yet I bought the game a weerk after its release. And please, don't bring up the Game Informer review. They're usually a good magazine, but that pissed me off. I love the Paper Mario games. Part 1 got me into RPGs, and PM2 is the second best game on the GameCube after Tales of Symphonia. It's an awesome 30-35 hour adventure. It's well worth $50, so at this price, you can't go wrong.

Matt Young 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2005 Eh, I like them. I've been a longtime EGM reader, and I haven't missed an issue since #99 (October 1997), and Gam Informer is the only other gaming magazine I've bothered reading regularly. That's got to count for something.

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2005 My EB had the game for $19.99 + tax, so after the voucher I'll have paid $1.19. Awesome. As the voucher says, you've got until the 30th to buy it for the rebate, although I'm not sure how long the game will be 20 bucks. And being on par with EGM is damning with faint praise.
