HHH (Been on top for years and will be for years to come.  Lost twice and still gets another title match)

 

Batista (HHH's spring opponent this year.  It isn't a matter of when he loses to HHH but when.)

 

Edge (Has held a title shot for two months now and has done nothing with it.  He's in the same position he was before Wrestlemania, only now he has a useless valet.)

 

Randy Orton (Even when injured he got more interview time in one segment than Benoit & Benjamin have gotten in the past year.  The most overrated guy on the roster.)

 

Muhammad Hassan (Iron Shiek 2005.  Has shown little in the way of talent.)

 

Kane (Back again.  Before long he will be in some other stupid storyline and will see his heat disappear, possibly THIS storyline.)

 

 

On Smackdown

 

JBL (The best promo man in the company)

 

John Cena (The best merchandise seller in the company, and who appeals to an audience that the company has lost since 2000.)

 

Eddy Guerrero (The best wrestler on Smackdown.)

 

Rey Misterio (The second best wrestler on Smackdown.)

 

Kurt Angle (Great wrestler, dumb feud.)

 

Booket T (Ain't what he used to be, but still has a following.)

 

 

There's no contest as far as I'm concerned.

 

I don't think they are maximizing Cena's potential. The last feud with Bradshaw wasn't near what it could have been.

 

They just had the best match of either man's career. What more do you want?

And you leave out Big Show and Taker for Smackdown.

And for the record, Edge character as evolved a lot since it started and now is going a diffrent direction. Shelton as a nine month IC Champ is not a jobber.

 

Bradshaw is HHH on the mic now. He is aweful, he says the same thing over and over. You are off your rocker by saying the best. He is pathetic.

 

You say Eddie is 1 and Rey is 2 for workers? I say Benoit and Shelton are 1,2. And both have the push problems. Yah Eddie and Rey are now in a cool fued, but Benoit and Shelton have KILLED Rey and Eddie in actual matches this year.

It doesn't "matter". It just means that, all things being shitty, RAW is less boring, which doesn't really mean a thing if my 3 favourites aren't on the show. It's not a significant point, it's just my POV on the subject of which show is 'more exciting'. With RAW, there is the possibility -however far fetched - that a titty falls out or a fan rushes the ring, with Smackdown there isn't.

 

Atleast when you don't read spoilers, if you try hard, maybe a little bit, it feels like it's happening right now. Almost.

 

Nah. I mean, the very notion of me not reading spoilers is insane. I read the end of books soon after I read the beginning. It is in my nature. To last less than 7 hours for a PRIDE show takes all my strength and will-power.

HHH bores the shit out of me; he doesn't compare with JBL.

 

It's arguable on the Benoit/Benjamin stuff. I myself find Rey to be probably the best worker in the company in terms of making the match as exciting as possible. He and JBL have had great matches with each other, and Eddie is a given. While Benjamin has been champ for 9 months, not one thing has happened during his title reign that makes me want to say "damn, i'll never forget this title run". He's bland as fuck, stumbles on the mic, and never gets anything to work with. The crwod doesn't give a shit about him, till he wrestles, and it's not like he gets 15-20 minute matches. Benoit nice and all, but it's not fun to watch him anymore when he was supposed to be some Main Event star. HHH loses to Benoit, but HHH is still on top.

 

Christian is going to SD! anyway, and as popular as he is (not as popular as people on this board make him out to be though), he still doesn't get anytime during the show. When he does, he jobs.

Rey has never gotten pushed and Eddy after his Title reign was in shitty shape. So what if Benoit got depushed, everyone has.

 

I think the bootom line is you will look for anything good in SD cuz you REALLY hate HHH.

I said 1 & 2 on the SHOW, as in on Smackdown. Benoit & Shelton are 1 & 2 in the company, but look where they are.

 

And since you mentioned it...

 

Benoit (Midcarder, getting beat up by Snitsky & Maven last I saw)

Shelton (IC Champion since November, has had one meaningful feud)

Jericho (About as threatening as Val Venis in the ring, and not as entertaining as Carlito outside of it. Terrible as a face to begin with.)

HBK (Injured)

Christian (Getting a minor push against a Smackdown wrestler and he still can't beat an 80 year old man)

 

Big Show (Midcarder. Last three feuds were with Akebono, Carlito and now Matt Morgan)

Undertaker (Injured)

 

Of all of those only Christian is getting any sort of push at all, and it is on the basis that his character wants to go to Smackdown.

Many of his promos are of the comedy variety, and I find them about as entertaining as the old Kurt Angle goofball promos. The difference with JBL is that he can actually be serious and sell a match, unlike Angle. His segments are the best thing on either show at the moment. HHH hasn't said anything new since his 'Its My Time' interview in August 1999. He's decent, but we've heard it all before.

HHH is like this big cancer on Raw that prevents anything remotely new or exciting from ever happening. Shelton could go out there and have a MOTYC and still be in the same place next month. And suppose Shelton DOES get a push to the main event....it'll just be him instead of Batista doing the whole schtick with HHH of maybe winning the title and then jobbing it back at some point. Hell, HHH with the title fighting different people is better than him jobbing and yet STILL getting rematch after rematch without doing shit to deserve it.

 

Whether a show is live or taped is insignificant compared to the quality of the shows. I mean is a crappy Raw better than a good taped SMDN? If anything the taped nature of SMDN makes it easier for me switch to another channel if something truly horrid is going to happen, or some Diva nonsense, etc.

 

What I think is needed is some sort of new concept. I think an ECW type faction who didn't give a shit about anything would be interesting, but I dunno if Vince would allow those guys to wreak holy hell on either show.
