Reminded me a little of "magnolia", in the fact that the movie tracks lives of horrible people who are good underneath, and outstandingly good people who are quite ugly underneath, and how their lives interact. Very good way of showing that everyone has a backstory, and things aren't always as they appear. It was nice seeing Sandra Bullock playing against type and not hamming it up in this one.
